Please help 🙏😔👍 I tried to Connect my Guita via an old iRig to my iPhone 14 via a simple Lightning heaphone Adapter, but weaher with Garageband Not loopy pro i can’t hear any Sound - weather via Bluetooth Headphone nor via the iPhone speakers. Same with an Other Adapter from iRig out to USB-C on an iPad. What am i doing wrong? How to solve? In posssible, without an expensive external Box - i simply wanna use loopy pro and/or GarageBand with my iPhone 14 or iPad. Any idea?
Wonderful video, could you please explain how did you set up hx stomp to send midi msg to loopy pro and how ut select the next track automatically upon stopping please?
Thanks! I am gonna make a special video tutorial on that. But here are some tips: 1. Use the command center in the HX Stomp to send a midi msg to Loopy Pro 2. To select the next track automatically you need to set follow action for every loop. And change the binding for REC footswitch. It's hard to tell every detail in the youtube comment)) So, the lesson will be there pretty soon, I hope)
I tried to setup as follows but not working 1. Hx stomp Add button 3 in command center midi cc 110, channel 6 , value 127 2. Loopy pro clip 1 : follow action begin rec : play clip 1 ;; finish record : select next clip C . Midi learn clip1 : target clip1 . > specified clip;; action play / stop : midi learn (on/off)
Assign this button to action "record selected clip" Select the first loop (you can assign any gesture for that). You will see white dot on that. And midi learn - choose only On (not on/off) manually Anyway, I will make step by step tutorial :)
Totally great videos about Loopy Pro, Max! Thanks a lot for that! Does it actually work to use an HX Stomp as an audio and midi interface at the same time for Loopy Pro? Does the HX Stomp send midi over USB? A setup like that would be awesome: Morningstar controller via Midi connected to the HX Stomp, HX Stomp via USB connected to an iPad or iPhone with Loopy pro. The Morningstar controller would control the HX Stomp as well as Loopy Pro. No extra audio or midi interface needed.
I was looking for some videos of Loopy Pro to show a friend and knew you had some great ones that could explain the functions and capabilities better that I could. I just watched this one and recognized I photo I posted on the Loopy Pro discord server of my iPhone 6 and EarPods 😂. Your videos are great! I haven’t been on the server for awhile but hope to get back into it soon and see you there. Thanks again for the videos. ✌️
No. The current pricing policy is like that: since you buy the app, you have it + lifetime bug fixes + 1 year of feature updates. Then you use it as it is, but if you want an update with a new features after 1 year, you pay 14.99 once and get 1 more year of those updates Check all the details on the official website
I've used a lot of tools to make music: cassette tape and digital multitrack machines, Akai MPC Live 2, Windows, Linux, etc. After all these years, the only Apple product I've ever owned is some AirPods I got for free. You and Loopy Pro have literally just sold the iPad to me. I'm going to sell some stuff and replace half my studio with a similar setup. Cheers, and keep making great music!
I'm curious: have you(has anyone reading this) ever maxed out the number of loops? If so, what model/generation of device were you using and how many loops/effects/etc did you have before the system was overwhelmed.
It depends on your needs, but it totally usable. Here's an example ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mvrzJ6Tm5g4.htmlsi=gPq9mSfokdtpbOqF Sometimes even one footswtich is enough - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qvSDcz63uvo.htmlsi=SvcYA1szLBh_QMAC
Hello max, thx for all your videos! I have a problem with my mellow audio midi controller. It will only work with midi out and not the USB port!!!! Would you have any ideas about how to fix this? Thx in advance
hi! honestly, is there a significant delay or latency when using midi pedals/footswitches? because i'm planning on using this on live performances. hoping to get a response :)
Hi! I've had wireless experience just with a cheap M-WAVE Chocolate. And it was bad. I mean it's OK for switching presets or something like this. But it's not ok for recording. However, a friend of mine bought Boss FS1-WL and he is quite happy. Maybe, there are different types of Bluetooth, I don't know :)
@@max_yar_guitar Oh okay. Thanks for the response. I forgot to add, I was planning on using midi pedals/footswitches on wired mode, not wireless. On this situation, is there a significant delay?
Hello, I have a Helix (guitar) and Loopy Pro on my iPad.. I'm struggling with the set up basics, so which converter/cables do I need to get from my iPad to my Helix? Does it need to be a midi cable or can it be USB?
Hello! What do you mean by "Helix (guitar)"? Is it some sort of guitar or just a Helix processor by Line 6? If so, you don't need any midi cables. Just connect it to your iPad via usb. It will work as an audio interface and you can send midi messages back and forth :)
Thank you for this tutorial very helpful! :) Also! amazing guitar playing!! Would you happen to know if it is possible to add reverb in Loopy Pro when singing?
Thanks! Yes, that's 100% possible. There are few different ways to do that. You could use stock reverb plugin or find another one on the App Store. List of my favourite plugins here: www.loopymax.com/plugins Lesson on how to use the stock reverb plugin in the best way is here - loopymax.gofingerstyle.com/
Sorry, I don't know how the Spark mini works, but I see that RIFF is an interface that supports iOS. So, there should be no problems with RIFF. Also, Loopy Pro offers a 7-day free trial period with full functionality. You could give it a try :)
Hi Max, wondering if you have a video, or could demonstrate how to send midi messages from loopy to the helix to change sounds/presets etc? Looks great I have a helix but not looked into how to do that yet
Im so happy to ditch my Electro Harmonix 95000 for Loopy Pro. It's a big learning curve and slowly learning how to make Loopy Pro fit all my needs. Thank you for making these videos. Very informative.
Hi Max ! I have question! I am guitar player and I have a MC8 midi controller! So let’s imagine that I have 20 or more different projects that each one is a different song but the midi bindings are the same. When change from a project (song) to another does the Loopy Pro save that midi bindings with MC8 ? It’s because I already noticed that sometimes fails and on a live performance you not going to again the bindings ? Can you clear a little bit this issue? Hope you can help! Thanks 👍
Hi! There are MIDI profiles inside the Loopy Pro - Global profile, Custom profiles, and profiles for the current project. In the current version of the app you can configure them if you press the sandwich icon in the top right corner, then MIDI learn, then press the button in the top left corner (near the Bluetooth icon). Or the same sandwich icon > MIDI control. So, if you what to save binding for every project, use a global profile. And make sure that new bindings are saved to that profile. If they are not, you can copy or transfer them from the MIDI control settings :)
Hmm, interesting. This might be perfect for my iPad Pro. How are you connecting your guitar though, are you just picking it up with a Mic on a zoom? Or just mic input from your phone? My hardware looper right now runs through the effects loop of my amp (Boss Katana). I would like to keep this setup the same way, but I am not sure how easy it will be to connect my iPad to the effects loop of the amp. I do have a Scarlett Solo, I suppose I can attach that to my iPad and run the effects loop send from the amp to the Scarlett input and the loop return to one of the Scarlett line outputs (left or right). Curious to know if you have done anything like this? I have done some google searching but haven't had much luck.
Great Video and the answer to my current frustration with Hardware loopers - I started with a Boss RC-3, then RC-30, then the Voicelive3-extreme, now Headrush Looperboard. I hate the tapdancing aspect of it, and am looking for some automation ( and to save space on my board ... ) great inspiration, I just have to figure out what type of Midi Board makes best sense for my requirements.... looking forward to more of your videos - and will use your promo code for sure!
I have a question, I have a MIDI keyboard and I can get the keys to work but I cannot get pads to work for separate drum sounds in Loopy PRO. Do you know how this has to be assigned in the MIDI section?
Hey, Jason! I suppose you should assign pads inside the Auv3 app. But I am not sure, because I don't use keyboard or pads. You can ask here loopypro.com/communities/
Hi Max, I’m really enjoying your Loopy Pro videos; thinking about doing your course. I have a Boss 505 Mk2 but I would like to carry less to gigs. I agree that this is the future, so simplified and much cheaper than many current options. Also, just wondering if you would share the details about your custom Furch guitar. I like how it sounds and would consider getting a guitar like yours. Sounds fairly woody like mahogany but I may be way off. Thank you!
Hi Kenton! Thanks a lot! This is Furch Rainbow series. Basically, it means, that it's custom. You could build your guitar using an online configurator on their official site. Yep, my guitar has a mahogany back and sides, and a open pore cedar top. It's OM, but a deeper body (almost like Maton's). The nut width is 45 mm, "D shape" neck profile. But, you can find a very similar model, if you check the Furch Blue series. For example, Furch Blue OM-CM
will do. I am breaking out an older but mint condition portable studio (Tascam) and should be able to play loops into it.. maybe import the file and play it. ... Does the Pro also act as a (I think it is called) a surface for the computer to adjust daw?@@max_yar_guitar
Hmm you mean like external controller? I think yes, but you should built custom layout for that. With widgets which sending MIDI to PC/Mac via usb-cable
Really great video! By the way I saw a couple of my old set ups in the last part of the video and some friends set ups from Discord too! Crazy how many times I’ve changed my set up in the last year.
