So, my wife and I are having our first baby, we are going to be in a one bedroom and going to be paying for everything ourselves, can you do a video like this for budget/value for one bedroom apartments? It would be greatly appreciated.
This video helped me a lot and I’m grateful that someone mentioned the target brand diapers being great. I plan on using that and now the pampers dry for night usage. Thanks 😊
Hi Becca! Would you do a an updated baby registry video for 2023? Not sure if things have been banned/ or different recommendations have come out or not. Thanks! If you've already done it please disregard :)
I dont have baby (yet) but I love to slowly learn and see options. Finally someone that works for baby! I feel that all other videos about registry are about hormonal shoping for adults desires! I wanted to hear opinion from MD and thank you for this. This explains a lot. ❤️
This is a very helpful video!! I had my registry up while you gave your recommendations! :) Thanks for the help! Looking forward to exploring your page some more.
I feel like the video was a bit haphazard. Getting too excited by cute print 😂. Missed many nursery must have items like a baby monitor for example . Just know this is not a complete list or Even an exhaustive one. Video could be more put together and thought through.
You totally know me, because a cute print gets me every time! Would love to do an update on this as it’s nearly 3 years old! Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Has anyone used a Moses basket in the baby’s crib as an option for a bassinet rather than a typical baby bassinet? I realize mom has to get up every time to attend to baby, but is this a viable option? Trying to go minimal and could move the loses basket into other locations in desired. Thx for any feedback.
Thank you for the vid! Good to hear an expert opinion on this stuff. The baby product industry is so predatory and guilt-inducing. Like "If you don't buy this specific $300 baby product, then you're a terrible parent"
I have been super stressed about choosing the right bassinet. I have been really concerned about suffocation. I noticed that the 3rd bassinet that you suggested does not have mesh, but it's really nice. Is the mesh as important to look for as some other features? My biggest must is something that is safe (and affordable). Thank you!
Hey Jerline! Congrats!!!! Mesh sides are not a requirement for a baby bassinet. But they can give you piece of mind it that is something you are concerned about!
Can I ask why you like some of the bassinets’ auto-glide or vibrating function, but not the Snoo? Looking for a simple bassinet and wondering if I need those vibrating/glide features after all. Thank you! Very helpful video.
Hey there! You do not need a vibrating or gliding feature in the a bassinet. All you really need is a firm flat sleeping surface for baby. Here is a list of bassinets I recommend (some have the vibrating feature, but most don't) kit.co/littlezsleep/bassinets
Do you feel that swaddling is a must? I have heard some moms say it can be bad for development & increase chances of SIDS so right now I'm leaning towards no swaddle, but clearly im no expert.
Hey Sonya! Congrats! Newborns have a very strong startle reflex, so they do need to be swaddled until 8-12 weeks! Here is another video I have on swaddling: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gKeD56endBk.html The AAP does support swaddling as well, here is a link to their parent website: www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/diapers-clothing/Pages/Swaddling-Is-it-Safe.aspx
Is getting a travel system a good idea!? First time teen mom here I want a good stroller but I heard infant car seats aren’t used for long could I just get a convertible?
Hey Sierra! Congrats! I would double check the minimum weight allowed for the convertible car seat. A travel system can definitely be convenient if you leave the house a lot, but is not a necessity.
Target diapers were AWFUL for us. The only diaper brand we hated more than Up & Up was Comforts (The Kroger brand). In fact every diaper brand we found for our little baby boy was awful EXCEPT Huggies. Our little boy also screamed bloody murder when a wet cold wipe touched him so to help him and us we did go out and get a warmer shortly after he was born. We could have made him deal with the cold wipes and maybe he would have gotten over it but for us a warmer is on my must must must have list.
Zuliana, so glad you found a brand that worked for you little guy! There are so many out there, sometimes it's a challenge to find the right fit! So glad you found comfort with huggies and a wipe warmer! 💛
So I know that babies shouldn’t sleep in the loungers but are they not okay to just rest your baby in on the couch if you are right there but just want a baby free hands for a moment? I wouldn’t feel safe just leaving them free on the couch with no protection on either side.
Hey Alyse! Most baby loungers are expensive and can effect head shape. If you want to be hands free with baby, you can put them on a blanket on the floor :)
Hi, nice video but it was very hard to follow you till the end. You talk non stop, seems like you don’t breath. I would prepare my video’s before. It’s nice u are spontaneus, but time is precious and we want to hear essential information peesented in a clean way. Thanksss
Hey Cristina!! Thanks so much for stopping by. This was definitely a spontaneous video, so the style is very different- more like "shopping with a friend" feel. I appreciate your feedback!!!
