I finished my first block in clerkship - Peds & ObsGyn! Peds has been such an enjoyable rotation. Great mentorship by the seniors, lots of teaching, motivated patients and their caregivers, and a variety of cases!

I’m getting really upset about life in general and have been questioning if I can make it till my 4th yr in Nursing. I think I’m experiencing mental exhaustion since I’ve been so hard to myself lately. As I watch this, I kind of cheered up since I want to see myself someday experiencing this too ❤ Good luck to all future healthcare workers out there. WE CAN DO THIS!

Very cool! I hope your journey is going well. I’m not familiar with what it’s like to be a med student. Do you sleep in the call room? I thought you had to have your own place to stay outside of the hospital

We do sleep in the call room when we have overnight call shifts! When you’re staff though you can go home unless you get called into the hospital (depending on the specialty) 😊

Are you at Vancouver childrens hospital? I recognize a lot of the interior as I went there for a surgery 😅. If your there that’s really cool!

Tbh, i just graduated as medical assistant/ PA and i will further my studies in emergency medicine. But latetly, i'm getting worried that i will not gonna do well. I'm scared of making mistakes as healthcare worker. What if i'm doing mistakes during emergency situations or during procedure and cause more pain on my patients? Anyone have experience working or advices, pls help me :( P/s: btw i love your videos ❤ it gives me motivation😊

I think many of us have a fear of making mistakes, myself included! I think it's natural because we are humans and we have the best interest for our patients. But working in the hospital, you'll most likely be working with other people (ie. nurses, physicians) and there's beauty in collaboration and asking for help if you don't feel comfortable. Then you can learn and practice until you feel more confident! Hope this helps ❤

These ppl always show how wonderful is their life lol, but nobody talks about how horrible classmates are. Med programs are a nightmare that’s why lot of ppl drop out of the program. You feel your alone, nobody wants to talked to you not sure why. Some ppl work together but if you try to talked to them they won’t even answer you. For example if you asked them when is our assignments due. They would just ignore you, let alone some professors are really bad.

I'm so sorry to hear that you've had a difficult experience with your classmates. I'm definitely not best friends with everyone in my program (there's a lot of people haha) but I've been fortunate enough to meet some of my closest friends who inspire me and support me. I hope you will find your crew as well! Sometimes it just takes time ❤
