Many of you have suffered from painful ingrown toenails and when you try to remove it you only hurt yourself worse. In today's video, I am going to show you how to remove an ingrown toenail on a teenager with no pain! Plus watch me blend a double toenail and stay tuned find out what I forget to do at the end.
I was nervous to work on her ingrown toenails because she told me they hurt and I know how my kids react when I accidentally hurt them.
The cuticle remover plays a very important role here, it is dissolving the excess skin around the part of the nail that is growing into the skin.
Before you go digging around on your ingrown make sure you use the cuticle remover and shorten the nail a little at a time ;)

Love Hurts it’s really illegal for them to remove them (I’m a cosmetology student) and they can lose their license however I’m finally going to remove my husband’s and this video is very helpful

Sanne Godijn i think it’s due to the fact that ingrown toenail is more of a podiatrist’s job than a cosmetologist since ingrown toenail is classified more as something that should be fixed by a doctor who works with feat than beauty workers

8 yrs ago a heavy school door took out my nail as I opened it and stepped forward to enter. I was wearing flip flops that day. I developed a type of cartilage in my nail bed in place of my nail, that wouldn’t heal. Every time I stubbed it against something or accidentally got stepped on it would start to bleed again-a lot. I had to get surgery to take off the cartilage, as well as have the bone filed down so that the cartilage wouldn’t regrow. My nail never grew back the same. It’s thick and it only grows about half way and just gets thicker. I had a doctor prescribe a liquid that I spent nearly $50, only to later on that week-read the bottle and it said not for use on nails 😖 I just got my nail mycosis in the mail today, as well as everything else I ordered. I’m looking forward to see what results I get. I’m glad I found your channel! Your videos are great.

NO...slow motion cannot be too slow! From watching you, I can definitely see that I am too rough on my nails, it's a wonder I have not caused permanent damage. Great tip about using cuticle removal prior to clipping around nail. I usually brace myself and pull. Yes...this technique always produces swelling and soreness. I thought this was an inevitable process. But I see from your technique it is wrong. Great job Lori, this young lady has a tricky “Great toe.”

The toe surgeon! It takes a soft touch, steady hand and a lot of patience taking care of other peoples feet. I never see anyone in pain during the process and their feet always look 100 times better! Great job! I've never had a pedicure but every time I see one of your videos it makes me want to get one. Finding good people in any craft isn't easy. I used to get ingrown nail on both big toes on the sides away from the rest of the toes. They would get infected and you would legit be able to see the pus through the skin. It hurt so badly that I couldn't even touch it. One time my dad accidentally stepped on it and it literally "popped" it. The pressure release after the excruciating pain brought tears to my eyes. I can only imagine how she felt after getting that off

What a relief that must have been!! I suffered from ingrown toenails as a teenager and had surgery by a podiatrist where he narrowed my big toe nail bed by cutting into the nail bed and destroying that area of the growth plate. It was so painful! It was a full year of tortuous healing as it did one foot at a time. You are such a blessing to be so gently and kind!

Karen Lawson I had the same thing done and then a few years later they were ingrown again. He said he couldn’t do what he did a second time. None of the pedicurists around here will take care of it so I end up digging them out myself. A while later, I have two bloody big toes.

Thank you so much. I have had ingrown toenails after going for my first pedicure. I have had infection problems, ingrown toenails ever since. Sometimes we take bad decisions . I thank you so much. I am a Registered Nurse but am very inadequate in that domain. You are calm, caring and as you say, people like us are your success but do not forget our success is due to people like you. Namaste.🌺

One time getting my nails done the drill cut me and I bled and the nail tech said it was my fault bc my skin was dry. Why do I feel like thats not true 😑

That was rude and wrong of them to say. It was not your skin. It was the wrong bit, wrong speed wrong pressure. I've never cut anyone with a bit. I am going to give more education on the bit for my club members. If you want to learn more each month join my fan club. The videos will give lots more info.

Hydrofluoric acid is more effective than the cuticle remover solution. It also alleviates the need to use sharp instruments which may lead to undesirable cuts.

As a nail technician, Im very particular about going to someone to get my nails done. I too suffer from ingrowns and not everyone knows how to properly remove them. And yes, the cuticle remover you use is amazing! I refuse to work without it.

Very relaxing after a stressful time for me. My bf is mostly blind and hasnt had money or time to care for his feet before I met him. Ive been trimming his nails and cleaning them best I can. Best wishes!
