first time 3 weeks ago i saw him in working equitation show on internet and was blown away and now i am seeking for every video in youtube ...all so called western riders here in Germany are miserable and ridicoulus after that ! ...and also the dressage riding scene should watch to see how energetic collection has to be !....to turn a horse in every direction , in every wanted gait at every wanted moment, definition of La Guiniere for being a excellent rider !!!!!.......with humbleness
Probably this reply will never get to you, however ... I am a western rider, reining to be more precise and I do love this rider as I love any good rider from any discipline. When someone reaches perfection, no matter what saddle he rides, is to be looked upon and learn from him (or her, for the sake of political corectness), but I wouldn't snub another discipline all together just for that. I apply in my training something from dressage, something from doma vaquera, or from any other style if I consider worthy and improves my riding and my horses. I wish people will stop trashing a riding discipline just because they cannot understand it or it doesn't fit their style. The ultimate goal is to have a healthy horse, a good style and, maybe more important as too many people forget about, to have fun. Cheers.
Torres has by far been my favorite rider for years now! their is just no one I love more!! not to say that their aren't riders just as good! I'm just obsessed... ;)
I love how Iberian horses just bound over the jumps without even trying. Warmbloods may have grace, but Iberian horses have Magnificence and power on their side.
Don’t you think the horse is a Lusitano rather than a Spanish horse, as Pedro is a Portuguese champion rider? But I agree with you, Iberian horses have something special. 💪
