Lartian-Gûûbsta You should try putting Elmer's school glue on the insides of your hands and spreading it out in a layer. Peeling that stuff off of your hands is some very satisfactory peeling. Peeling the plastic stuff off of new electronics? That's some of the world's best peeling. The only thing better than peeling is peeling and sticking. In answer to your question, Yes. You are weird.On a serious note, my favorite thing about this video was how awesome the car began to look as the guy took the Plastidip off of it panel by panel. What an improvement!!!!!! A cheaper alternative might be to duct tape a bunch of garbage bags to one's car then take them off. Just imagine how great your car will look after the garbage bags are removed.

This would be kinda cool for the front of the car. I was cleaning my car the other day and no matter how hard I scrubbed the little black pieces of tar from the road just refuse to budge! They're literally imbedded into the car. I could see dipping the front and then replacing it every few years or so to avoid the tar from sticking itself to your car.

There are products out there that will remove tar etc. without ruining your paint. Have no idea what brands you might have in the US though (or wherever you are).

***** For what it is worth I had an 1985 model and my boss used it on my car because he always used it on his car. Well it took the clear coat off and you could see the color of the paint on the rag. Totally destroyed the paint.

Wow, this plastidip is an amazing product.! Plastidip completely changed my life. Let me give my review. See before Plastidip it was almost impossibleeeeeee to pull off bank robberies or hold up a jewelry stores. As soon as I would do it, there was an APB for a Black Audi, and they would catch me in no time. Booooooo! Now I just put on a layer of white plasti dip *before* any one of our heists and boom! All I have to do is pull to a well hidden side street, pull off a layer of my white Plasti dip and I have a Black Audi again! Haha, good luck with that NYPD! It's so funny, one time after pulling off my white plasti dip, I saw a SWAT team completely circled this white Audi. They pulled out their guns, made the driver get out yelling "get on the ground! NOW!" You should have seen their faces when they realized he was just a dad on his way to a soccer game! Haha! I'm thinking of upping the ante and maybe getting into kidnapping. I heard it was a highly lucritive and rewarding position. Thanks Plasti dip!

My first car was a Mercury Mystique, which is the same thing as a Ford Contour. The previous owner got rear ended and fixed it with a Ford. The officer who pulled me over was baffled, thought Id swapped the license plates even! I told him to look at the front, the steering wheel even, or the VIN in the window!

Just watch more videos. It is definitely a good product that I have used on my E89. Trust Fonzie when he say it holds up. I'm in Arizona and we get some of the harshest climate out here (when it comes to heat, dust, gravel) and plasti dip holds up very well.

It's a unique look, and it's completely reversible. So like this car, thats worth a hell of alot. You can matt black it without ruining the original finish. In fact, i've never used the stuff but i'd go as far as to say that it would protect the original finish all the time it was dipped.

As long as you get enough coats (5-6) then it will protect from gravel/salt, etc. It'll function like nose bras function to prevent dings on the front bumper/hood, but it'll protect the whole car. If you start seeing small cuts/chips on the plastidip from excessive impacts, then just give that section a touch-up mid-winter.

I have watched a bunch of these videos now and I think this stuff is great. I don't think it is worth it though since every time you change the color, you need to change the registration with the DMV. At $80 per change (in Canada) plus the material cost, plus the work involved, seems like a new paint job might be a better choice.

I got ripped off from a "affiliate" dipping place, they went out of business and now I am left with a mess of a car that is taking so long to clean off because the appliers ripped me off close to 2K to do my car and they applied it so lightly that I am picking piece by piece off. Dip dissolver is barely working and this is a nightmare product.

I have a couple of cans of plasti dip. Seems the acetone dries up constantly and i keep filling the can with acetone. But this stuff is a good idea. It works.

Everyone who doesn't want to wrap their car with vinyl or directly paint it, uses plasti dip. I for one use plasti dip and its a product that is well worth your money.
