Powered by a Elemental Designs LT/1300 plate amp (Keiga 52100 plate amp) feeding about 1000 watts RMS into a 4 ohm load. The sub is in a reinforced ported box, custom made by Ground-Shaker USA. Chose this song for excursion purposes. Sounds much deeper and lower in person, the mic does no justice to this sub, by far the best subwoofer I have had/heard! ...my neighbors probably hate me, but yet they still compliment the beautiful bass they hear! Lol

If you want to get the best out of this sub In my opinion, 4.5 cu ft tuned at 30 hz. It should be a killer

Hey. I'm in search of 10 - 15 inch woofers or subwoofers like the Bose F1 subwoofer (133+dB spl for just 2 10 inch!!!!), Bose MB24 WR, Danley TH812 (154+dB spl)etc etc for outdoor use. Any idea if this woofer could serve my purpose, can this cover 10000+ sq ft venue like the Bose F1 subwoofer at just 50% volume? Note: please give my comment a heart & like then reply back, as I don't get notification. I get mostly heart or like notification (that's why). Thanks. ❤️

This sub can definitely perform, sealed it can handle 3,500 watts RMS. Ported I'd limit it to 1,200 RMS... The thing is that the Bose F1 subwoofer was purpose built for punchier bass, the downside is that it will never reach the sub frequencies that the Peerless can achieve. Bose is limited down to 38Hz, this one can perform as low as 15Hz all day. I'd go with the Bose for outdoor use in your case though.

well there are various amps out there, but very few can push this sub to it's limits, the Behringer NX3000 might be a great option, 3000 watts RMS bridged @ 4ohm. this subwoofer is dual 8ohm so it's a good match.

What size is the enclosure you have it in and tuning? I have 2 STW’s and just built a ported box for one of them and was going to build a second one but might throw a small sealed box together and see how it performs in that.

This thing can run flat from 20Hz in a 60l sealed box with a little help of PEQ. That would be my design choice - a relatively compact subwoofer that goes as low as you'll ever need with a punch you'll never get from a ported enclosure. Just feed it with enough power.

how does it sound on higher bass say 38- 50 hz ?

on my specific setup, the sub shines between 25Hz and 40Hz, with the sweet spot peaking at around 30Hz. I can see it performing better around the 45hz zone in a small sealed enclosure though. this sub design is simply amazing.

this subwoofer was intended to shine if you have the RMS Watts to push it up to 2500+ watts RMS in a sealed enclosure. ported it can handle up to 1500 watts RMS.

In the future I do plan on taking it to it's limits in a sealed enclosure, in the meantime it does an amazing job at 1,000 RMS in a custom ported enclosure.

Yes, I broke it in with a Klipsch plate amp off a R-115SW subwoofer. This subwoofer is amazing, It's in a league of it's own.

In a large ported box xmech can be reached with under 1000w! The massive powerful motor was initially designed for driving the sub in a tiny 2 cubic foot sealed box, in a ported configuration it's always cool and understressed because you'll bottom it out before stressing it thermally. It could be the motor for a 30" IB megasub, crammed onto a 15" basket it's freakin amazing.

Eisenwerks Do you think a longer and more flexible spider with a longer and more flexible surround will make it harder for it to bottom out? If the coil doesn’t hit the magnet before though.

Are you running the epicenter on the sub?

the sub signal is running through the epicenter, but the epicenter was not used in the video, meaning the epicenter knob was turned all the way down.

I get you, I use my epicenter for when I listen to corridos or classic rock. if you place this sub in a small reinforced sealed enclosure, you can push it to 3,500+ watts RMS. it's truly a beast.

yes, this current set up I have will be similar to yours. 1000 watts RMS on a ported box is enough to shake doors and windows in my house.
