Cleaned Crabs (Peethalu) - 6 No. (Net Weight - 1kg)
Masala paste:
Onions - 3 Medium size (250gms)
Ginger - 2 inches
Garlic pods - 10
Turmeric powder - half tsp
Salt - 2 tsp
Red Chilli powder - 3 tsp
Coriander powder - half tsp
Cumin seeds - half tsp
Cloves - 4
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cardamom - 4
Grind into paste
Tomatoes puree - 2 Medium size (150gms)
Making:
Oil - 120ml
Chopped Light Green Chillies - 4
Fry for 10 seconds on Medium Flame
Cumin seeds - half tsp
Dry Red Chillies - 2
Curry leaves - 3 stems
Fry for 20 seconds
Add Ground paste
Switch to High Flame for 1 Min & then take rest on Medium Flame
Fry for 2 Mins
CLOSE THE LID & LEAVE FOR 3 MINS ON MEDIUM FLAME
Fry for 2-3 Mins
Add Tomato puree
Fry for 2-3 Mins
CLOSE THE LID & LEAVE FOR 2 MINS ON MEDIUM FLAME
Fry for 1 Min
Add Cleaned Crabs
CLOSE THE LID & LEAVE FOR 3 MINS ON MEDIUM FLAME
Oil Appears
Fry for 3-4 Mins
CLOSE THE LID & LEAVE FOR 3 MINS ON MEDIUM FLAME
From now fry with open lid only
Fry for 15 Mins with open lid
Total Fry Time - 30 Mins (From Adding Crabs)
Crabs cooked well when oil separates from crabs
