Pegasus by Parfums de Marly Fragrance / Cologne Review 

Hey Steven, good to see your take on this one. PdM is one of those niche houses that makes super wearable fragrances and I dig that.

Thanks for your take on this Stephen. This is a fragrance that literally changed the way I look at fragrance period. I got a sample and when I smelled it I was speechless. I had never come across anything like it before and was an instant purchase. Because of this scent I now also have Herod and Oajan ( two more power houses)!

Pegasus always gets me compliments. Layton and Herod are also great scents that open conversations✅

I love pegasus, herod, percival and Layton. If I can just find it at cheaper price I would be stoked. Pegasus smells similar to side effect by Initio without the powdery smell. Also love absolute aphrodisiac by initio. Thank you for the video on pegasus. Oh and I agree that pegasus is amazing and in a class of its own.

You mentioned Byerley and the end, I just wore it today and fell in love! There is a unique complexity to it. I found myself going on an adventure with the different notes and it's base. I smell a the citrus and green with dry smokey base. Do you think you might review Byerley anytime soon? Thanks for all information on your channel. I have subscribed and have learned a ton.

Layton Exclusif might be my new favorite from the house. I also own Layton, Herod and Oajan. Hamdani is a peculiar offering from the house and Habdan I like but not enough to pull the trigger on a bottle. Great review, thanks!

My SOTN and my wife's favourite, in my entire collection.

I own Pegasus as well as Habdan, Oajan and Nisean. They are all unique as you say and I enjoy each one of them. A very classy house which I discovered through reviews by either you or Broooklyn Fragrance Lover.

I like this, smells a bit like reflection man for the first 5 minutes. It has a bit of hypnotic poison but not as much as people say to me. The main notes I pick up on in order are vanilla, jasmine, almond, amber. I don't pick up sandalwood from this as per fragrantica but I'm sure its there .

I have this one, Herrod, and Oajan, but by far my favorite has been Habdan! Love this house.

I like this one a lot, it’s everything a standard designer citrus / vanilla frag should be but never is. I’m surprised you didn’t mention the citrus / bergamot up front, it’s really really great. I was thinking it could’ve been softened a little with some neroli but then it probably wouldn’t be as stand out ish.

As always great review Steven. This house is not available in Mexico so I had to blind buy Herod and was impressed. I am thinking in ordering another two and was thinking, based on reviews, in Oajan and Layton. Do you agree or have other suggestions? Appreciate it and keep the great work.

I own Herod and Layton, love them both I’ll be sampling more from PDM soon, they seem to have great quality overall.

Love Pegasus and most of the PDMs - Godolphin (my first niche), Galloway, Habdan, Herod and to a lesser extent Darley. Totally agree with you that you can smell quality in all their releases and it's not for want of it that you will not like any of them. Also, it does not hurt that they perform and are more wearable in general compared to other niche lines.

Great Vid as usual. You are totally right, this is amazing , and the Herod as well. It is a must have. And I Dont know why, But Pegasus I prefer wear it at night.

I’m dying to try Herod

I wore Pegasus during July and August last year in the Texas heat and it was awesome and the compliments were crazy but I did apply it sparingly. Lol

Can you do a review of the Territoire line. I only see one video on them on you tube. I bought the Territoire Wild, Territoire Pour Homme and Territoire Platinum. All three are amazing. I believe they're made by YZY but can't find much information on them.

I like the house. I have a coupe from them. Sampled many. This ones very good.

Excellent review mate, not a fan of the frag though, i got a sample when it first came out along with a few other PDM, i just wasnt keen on pegasus, i like vanilla and almond in fragrances but the likes of dior hypnotic poison and montale sweet oriental dream which i wear a lot are far nicer imho.

Pegasus is not bad; that's as far as I'll go with It. Layton and Galloway are great. I just need to try habdan and some others.

I never smelt this but I got Amarf Craze for my husband which is supposed to be a dupe. Craze is a a little harsh but I like how it smells after a few hours when it softens up. I bought my husband Derby Club House Gold and it has the same type of harshness. I will never buy him any Armarf again.

Great take on this Steven. You should try craze by armaf... they are really similar I wouldn't like to talk about percentages but they are very very close! All the best...

Idk why but your background seemed like it was a lot farther away from you before you pointed to the other bottles. I love a good almond scent, this is the one I see most people talking about too. Sweet review!!

I haven't gotten my nose on this yet, although I have the sample set from PDM coming in the mail soon. Also, I smelled Poison Hypnotic today for the first time while shopping for my lady and that is extremely pleasing. So if you say it smells anything like that, I might have to get it!

Only one I have is Layton which is really really good. I have wanted to try Herod, Pegasus and Haban. I haven't found a location around me that carries them so I may just have to purchase one of their discovery sets.

I found this one to be just OK. Herod and Oajan are definitely better. I also found Galloway and Darley quite nice.

Here in Scandinavia PDM is hard to get. Only 1 store have some types, but not the one I want: Layton. To import it costs about 350 dollars in the end. Clones? We dont have Alexandria fragrances here either. Its a drag to be a FragHead here in the north lol

Here, is the copy and paste of the Brand story from the PdM website: The XVIIIth Century was the indisputed reign of King Louis XV. Listen Steven, I am so happy that you talked about the company rather than about the scent. PdM is to be said one of the most popular the most mass pleasing niche house but the part where you exaggerated on how different those smells are from one another you changed my way of thinking about PdM. Sounds wired I guess but I really am going to try samples from Layton, Pegasus, Harod, Oajan and maybe even Delina. Today I have get the samples of OAJAN, GODOLPHIN and PEGASUS. My opinion! OAJAN, I love it and I will buy it - GODOLPHIN is good but slightly to bitter for me - PEGASUS has remember me somehow at burnt rubber tires. Either you love it or you hate it. I am between of both. :-)

I've decided to mix a cologne we both love and your wife. But it lacks on performance. And that's no other than Clinique Happy!! Mixed with Pagasus another one you love and WOW!!! It smells amazing!! You should try it. And get back at me. I guarantee your going to have a blast.
