1:42:40 KV quoted Durbar incorrectly. Tavleen was told by someone rather than she telling someone that how everyone is waiting in a cold Delhi night to listen to ABV and then he came and started with a 4 line poem which took like 15 minutes because of the raucous cheers. What a man ABV!

Indic - This is a social and economic concept which is prevalent in India and its a combination of some contradictory positions vis-a-vis the classical left wing right wing definitions. So here is what Indic attitude basically is - 1. Economically this person believes in free markets however free only for indigenous players . 2. Economically this person believes in a welfare state to uplift people out of poverty but welfare not for those who are decently well off . (Ex. Giving up gas subsidy) 3. Economically this person wants the agricultural land and real estate property rights to remain with the landed and moneyed so he is in favour of inflation in real estate however at the same time is against inflation on everything else. (This is a paradox in itself ) 4. Economically this person believes firmly in the individual ownership of agricultural land and the necessity for the state to support the sustenance of the individual land owner and shudders at the thought of both cooperative farming and of land acquisition. 5. Economically this person wants industrialization but not on rural poor farm lands but instead on the rich natural reserve of forests which are incidentally tribal areas. 6. Culturally this person wants religiosity to play an important role in politics and wants religion inspired acts and counter acts. 7. Culturally this person is a big supporter of armed forces and police state for defence and law. 8 . Culturally this person wants to break free from the religiosity at home and in rituals etc. 9 . Culturally this person is scientific in temper but is willing to accommodate the most unscientific beliefs in day to day life (Ex - Rocket Scientists doing a Coconut breaking ritual or Chemistry Professors comparing their horoscope) 10. Culturally these people want a secular society but are very much bothered their civilisation needs to remain relevant.

Mridula Mukherjee, the Chairperson of the Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She said that it's a question of how we look at it. "In the thirteenth century, Amir Khusrau's writings mention the concept of 'Hind' as a distinct geographical entity. Even during Ashoka's time or during the Mughal period, we see 'India' existing as a cultural or political idea." "But it'll be nonsense to say that there was an idea of *India as a nation-state before the colonial period* . There were many Indias earlier, but the idea of a nation as such comes with the freedom struggle. The India we know today is shaped by the thinking during the freedom struggle. Burma, which was a part of the British Raj, was not seen as a part of India by our forefathers. So the idea of India can't be reduced to tweets by actors. It's a very complex thing," added the senior historian. Mukherjee categorically rejected the notion that it was the British who brought the idea of the Indian nation-state. "The Britishers did not even think of India as a nation. Churchill had said that India is merely a geographical expression and that it is no more a single country than the equator. This article provides how 5 different historians think about the statement made by Saif and 4/5 kind off agreed with him and gave reasoning why he may have said that. It is very very sad state of affair. You just cannot write/speak anything because you are being so judged and certain intolerant folks go all out against you if you write some opinion. A large part of PoK is basically pak occupied jammu. Which, as KV said, isn't part of thr dispute so, pak shouldn't have occupied it and should now release, ideally. But, pakistanis and kashmiris don't think jammu isn't part of this conflict. They believe jammu IS part of kashmir a part of the erstwhile state and whatever happens to kashmir should happen to jammu, their fates being eternally linked. So what india thinks abt kashmir, in a way, is how kashmir feels abt jammu.

I think Mr Sanghvi greatly simplified the NTR campaign and other southern actors turned politicians, it also shows why Northern journalist can never actually get a grasp of the south politics.
@pantonfire
@pantonfire 2 года назад
What do you think the reasons are?
@chola377
@chola377 2 года назад
@@pantonfire Northern journalist lack emotional connection with the locality, which i feel makes them discard many important events and highlight which only they think are crucial. NTR win was not just because of his hero worship status but also because of mockery of local politics by Gandhi family members( sorry but true ). For example i would suggest you to read about incident when Mr Rajiv Gandhi berated then A.P CM T.M. Anjiah like a child for not following his instructions properly at airport ( some say CM was on verge of tears ). There may be a valid reason for Mr Rajiv anger but berating a State CM openly is never a good move. Also, hero worship can only help in winning one term of election, people are not that blind to vote for an actor multiple times without any actual improvement on ground.
@chola377
@chola377 2 года назад
@@pantonfire Also NTR did not wear random movie costume during his campaign, he wore only one dress i.e., factory workers standard khaki uniform. The way Mr Sanghvi mentioned it as some random movie costume clearly told me that he didn't understand the emotional connection that the dress has with AP politics.

@@rl1900 They are paid a fraction of what maids in other countries are paid, which is why middle class families are able to afford them. If there is no caste angle to it, why is it that the majority of maids come from SC/ST/Lower castes?
@rl1900
@rl1900 2 года назад
@@pranavmarla surely its becoz SCST are underdeveloped underprivileged section of society so most of these people are from there. KV keeps on making his comment on Sonia Matta’s sacrifice so many times. We all browns should be so thankful to her to come to india after marrying in this Bhuka and Nanga country we should be obliged to her that she decided to stay her after her husband was killed so that she could rule india with unprecedented power without any responsibility and in return we Indians should pledge to make her half Italian kids without any intellect the PM of india for ever to show our gratitude for her sacrifices!

KV is a Nehru & dynasty apologist. To compare CAG Vinod Rai's report of presumptive loss to hitting 6 every ball of an over (including no-ball and wides) must require quite a bit of devotion. Presumptive loss is not a made up number. Based on the projected growth of consumer demand and spectrum being a national & natural resource, this was the kind of demand that existed had a fair auction been held. He seems extremely pained that UPA lost and Modi won and is calling CAG report unfair.
@vsx862
@vsx862 2 года назад
@@rohithrajan9 you're another apologist. Why shouldn't CAG comment? So A Raja informs his close friends sitting in Malaysia and asks them to come first (due to his policy) while keeping the real bidders like Airtel, Jio in the dark. And you're ok with that because you of something Vajpayee govt did in a different context at a different time? Give me a break! First come first serve is not called auction. It is called corruption. CAG was brave enough to point it out. Vir Sanghvi doesn't like CAG because he exposed the minister Vir had some role in appointment as exposed in Radia tapes. Please be objective and neutral.

KV might be very knowledgeable but his speaking style is self-indulgent and grating as a viewer. Its a bunch of half connected thoughts and tidbits of information which is supposed to be digested and synthesized before you start speaking. His questions usually are "a question that is one sentence" + "7 sentences of just regurgitating the things I have come across for no absolute reason, not even providing context to the question" Unlike the guest who has solid points, narratives, messages and the interviewer who nudges the talk along.

I like the style. KV, being a quizzer, sprinkles intresting tid bits in between conversations. Him talking about Morarji Desai drinking his own urine sent me on a 1 hour spree of watching Morarji Desai interviews. Works for me.

How dare you (say it out loud)! :-) I agree with almost everything in your comment. Everyone who watches KV’s content has noticed this at some point on time. But these idiosyncrasies make him even more relatable. Vir is career journalist and every word coming out of his mouth is measured and contextual; that’s his skill and experience. Slightly unfair to compare them.
