@@soggyslopster6352 yeah but in this case it’s only english people so english Scottish, Northern Irish and welsh are so culturally different and sound so different accent wise saying ‘being British’ it isn’t really an accurate statement
I loved that too. It's even more so when I know full well that Jarvis is Howard's Butler; and yet when Howard pokes his head out of the car, my head proceeded to be confused as to why. Lol
As a British person, watching Peggy punch that guy who made fun of her accent in the face in The First Avenger basically expressed my entire thought process whenever I hear an American imitate my accent.
She really should've. Also, I bet that if she *had* met Tony, she'd treat him like a petulant child and call him "Anthony" all the time and would be the type to tell those "back in my day" stories.
No kidding; I'm willing to bet that the person that killed Jack Thompson was, in fact, Michael Carter. It would explain why he killed to get that super secret file detailing the war crimes of "M. Carter" back.
I miss this show so much, I was heartbroken when I found out it was canceled! Peggy was such a role model because she wasn't the typical superhero. I loved DD and JJ but seeing a woman with no powers but skill in the 50s saving the world was everything to me
@@BennyBrown00 i thought it was for combing his hair, then i thought it was for looking at the back of the girl who on top of him while they're "doing it". i just read rosies idea and knowing howard in the marvel movies, it wouldn't surprise me too much if it is indeed for looking at himself. idk, a girls bare back kinda turns me on. especially if they're skinny. so having a mirror to look at her bare back while we do it is an idea i would consider having in MY car!
@@b1nkbonk I wouldn't say it killed it, it's all open to discussion. I actually think that Agent Carter is the only non-Disney+ show that's actually canon, due to Jarvis' cameo and the fact that the movies don't directly contradict it like the other ones.
peggy and jarvis are the best friends ever. they love and respect each other so much and their relationship is so pure, no sexual undertones at all. this is something i want. just someone who i can rely on and who can rely on me
I love the way she turns to him when she asks him if he wrote that confession. Brilliant acting. She's really good at being fully expressive. Her body language really sells it.
@@joemaxwel1997 Yes, I forgot about that. Also I was also thinking about the witty things of Alfred from the animated series and the live action movies.
@@alejandrokaplan7243 True, age doesn't slow Alfred down. Jarvis, he may have worked with Peggy but also....is he an agent of some sorts? He sure knows Howard Stark, Tony Stark's dad's secrets of his mansion.
A TV series set outside of the current time period has to get big ratings to justify the big production costs. The vast majority of period series get canceled after their first season.
God, I miss this show so badly. Of course I still watch and love Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but I desperately would've liked at least two more seasons of Agent Carter. Honestly, 10 seasons of it would not make me bored. That's how much I love and respect Peggy and Jarvis as characters, as well as the actors who play them. I was beyond gutted when it was cancelled/ended. It had so much potential, the perfect blend of action and wit and hilarious moments in between.
"Good lord! Is that a mirror?" is still my favorite line from this show. The first time I saw that scene, I was laughing so hard I had to pause the TV for at least 2 minutes to calm down before I could keep going with the episode.
some of the most important episodes in agent carter series involved her letting steve go and moving on. Ex: the moment where peggy poured the last specimen of steve's blood to the sea, or peggy telling howard that steve was gone, and they both needed to move on. The whole point of the series was to move peggy away from just being steve's love interest, and had development of her own. Bringing steve back to the past at the end of endgame ruined all that.
I mean there’s two ways of how you can take the ending of Endgame: Either all of this is still canon in our timeline and Steve going back starting a new timeline. OR Steve went back to an earlier spot in the same timeline, none of this was canon in the first place, and Steve sat around letting all the terrible things in history play out as it had and not doing anything at all to change it. I personally like the first idea much better on multiple levels. (Also if even the Writers and Directors can’t agree I say think whatever you want.)
@@MJ-vg5vd …. Spoiler. It was Peggy Carter’s brother. That’s why they did a flashback to her brother and all that foreshadowing. Her brother shot Thompson
Peggy and Jarvis are one of the most iconic duos in marvel and are so underrated. They have so much chemistry but not the romantic kind, the chaotic bestie kind. Peggy is the badass short bestie and Jarvis is the innocent puppy who has no idea what he’s doing.
Since Thompson have evidence of something related to Peggy´s Brother, and they focused on flashbacks about him and some stuff, I think it was her brother who almost killed thompson.
El Tanito Grimes that sounds pretty plausible to me, but they do show a flashback of them getting the news of someone’s death from the military, I always assumed it was her brother because of her mother’s reaction but we never actually see him die and Peggy did have a fiancée who was also serving so it might of been him, but he wasn’t in action like her brother, we probably won’t ever find out I guess, but we can always hope for another season.
@@MJ-vg5vd i think they mentioned in that flashback that her brother had died, and that impulsed her to join the SSR. As for her brother being alive, I remember reading about hints for the planned season 3 after the series was cancelled, and they mentioned that they would deal with some things about peggy´s brother, and that thompson was alive in a hospital at the beggining of the season.
I've seen where we may get to see Hayley Atwell as Peggy in an episode of Agents of Shield this season. I hope so. I'd love it if James D'Arcy were to reprise his role as Jarvis. It'd be nice to have the two of them in scenes with Clark Gregg and Chloe Bennett after their dubsmash wars of 2015.
