Yeah, and flying to Europe from Japan now is an absolute pain in the ass because of Putin: you have to take the long route via Emirates / Qatar, or go all the way over Anchorage and the UK. I have to take such a flight in a few days and I dread it.

Very much depends on the job they had to do there. I don’t think they would fly half the world just to be sincere. Pretty sure they either wanted to travel to Europe and this happened to provide an opportunity, or they had to do something which would have been difficult or impossible remotely.

After the us it feels like they're staking out irl venues for something, and combining that with a little r&r

Miko and Suisei mentioned before that they checked out the venue. I think it's great to be hands on things sometimes. Also they get to travel and relax for a bit.

Unless she was intentionally misleading or lying, it would be odd for 4 Japanese members to go without any management staff on a company/brand expansion like she has implied. If I was going to throw out speculation, it sounds like it was either a vacation trip or if it was for business maybe some sponsored deal. Just speculation though, I'm sure will find out in time.

I believe they had electronic translators, not people. They were playing around with them at the last Sports Fest if memory serves.

Well she did say there was also staff so most likely the staff was there to translate for them if needed. It was just that at the boarder control staff they weren't with any of them since I guess staff probably went with economy so they couldn't exit the plane at the same time.

This wouldn't be much of a problem in Japan because of the way the bathrooms are designed and the fact that a lot of baths there have electronic sensors that automatically shut the water off when the bath is full...
