I'm Impressed . You did a great job fabricating everything . I'm getting one soon , I think I'll keep the trim on and just seal at the joints top and bottom . Love the Flag ! Thanks
Great video! Thank you for sharing. I just bought a brand new Pelican bass raider10E from Cabela's. I have a lot of great things in the making for it but great to see others projects! Cheers!
Very nice set up I would like to get some of the transducer mounts you made let me know if it's still possible to get some and were did you get your t tracks at
Great video, an thank you for that. I did buy one today at academy sports, $749.00 Not bad. So it's still in the back of my truck, and I will be working on it today, and tomorrow. thanks guys/girls. have a great one
Love the usage of 3D printing! What filament do you use? I know PLA isn't great with heat or water, I've used PETG with some success but found it can warp under high heat. I'd love to avoid using ABS but it might be the only filament appropriate for outdoor use that's exposed to water.
I use PETG for the clamps and transducer mounts. Been using PLA+ with great success underwater. In some instances I've had better luck with PLA+ as it seems less brittle but less temp resistant.
nice mods, just curious which ones you would do again or not after using the boat for a year. also, what about the pelican seat over the cushioned one? thanks for the vid
If I were to build another one, there isn't much I'd change. I surely wouldn't use the plastic scupper plug again - lol. the Ergo 360 seats are much lighter and are mesh with breathe much better than a padded seat. No swamp-ass!
Hi Jeff, I love the mods you made to your boat! I have the same exact boat and I was wondering how you re-ran the wires through the hull? Did you just tie the new ones to the factory ones and simply pull them through? Also, is there any advantage to using 6 guage wire vs. the 8? Thanks.
Yeah, I just tied the new ones in and dragged them through. 6ga is whats needed for 50 to 60 amps. If you are running a smaller motor you will probably be fine but I have a 65 and 55lb thrust I run on mine.
@@jeffakamax Thanks for the reply Jeff. I thought the factory wires were kind of on the light side myself. I'm running a 55 lb. Minnkota so I think I'm going to do the same thing you did! I really like the Anderson plugs too I just have some basic 8-10 guage solderless connectors but one actually pulled out this weekend on me.
Hey Jeff really like your setup. Just got my bass raider and in process of setup. looked at a lot of different mods. I like your t track and the 3D parts. I would like to get those 3D mounts you made. let me know how to get my address to you. Thanks.
What 3d printer do you own and would recommend. Do you have a link and also when i get mine would you be willing to send me the files for it. These are some of the greatest mods i have seen. Thanks. Also what size drain plugs and size holes did you install in the bottom. Do you have a link to them please
I wish I had gotten this information about the Rubber seal before I took the one off my pond prowler, oh my gosh, same thing happened to me I had to stretch that thing
Thank you for sharing, just curious i know you said you would 3d print the attachments for the transducer? but what about the sun sharde for the striker four, i let a buddy go out on my kayak and he knocked it off with the paddle :(
How has the aquarium sealant held up. Thinking of doing the same to my angler 8s. Not sure what to use. I've seen people use flex seal and bed liner. Then I saw your video.
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007SXHKFU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Have NO complaints on that motor at all! I cut the shaft down so it's shorter than usual. I like to be able to cast over it without it being in the way. Personal preference really. I also have a 65LB Haswing that is ESC controlled. Works great too but not good at FWD/REV prop cleaning to remove weeds.
At the bow, what size schedule 40 PVC did you use for rod holders ? I bought 1&1/4 inch PVC but it doesn’t quite fit in the straps. My Bass Raider is new and the straps are quite stiff. Thanks in advance. Steve B.
Thanks so much for the suggestion. Before I forget, I was about to put in an Atwood scupper plug when I came across your video. How did you go about fixing the problem? If you had to do it 5:34 over, would you still go with a scupper plug? Thanks a million for getting back to me. I really enjoy the ideas you come up with.
