HEY MAN!!! I have been watching a lot of these videos and I know of Max's build. Im going to be buying a Bass Raider myself eventually and modding it out. I agree with you it prob needs a piece of wood up against the outside for the outboard motor and better stability. You said to message you if we had thought of any extra builds/mods to add and there is one I would really like to see played out from this/Max's build. You could build "lockers" on either side of the boat by raising the level a few inches above the rods and having it swing outwards, the lockers themselves would allow you more room to stand on the sides, essentially allowing you to walk all the way around the boat while fishing/casting. there is another video on youtube with a different boat but similar build titled "Best 2 Man Bass Boat?!" If you raise those lockers a couple inches from the front casting dock it would work perfectly, I would love to see it! ❤
Great mods, i have the same boat, an i originally made similar plans, but with it goin from 145 pounds to 215. It became really heavy and it only has a 600 weight capacity. So I had to cut back for safety reasons. Im glad you went threw with it...inspiring 👌
Mann!!! Thats a sweet rig bro!!! You're really hooking up it up. Lol, I'm looking forward to the next video. Definitely major changes since the first video
Are you gonna get a trailer? With the added weight loading and unloading.... nvm you just said it lol trailer coming in soon. Keep doing what your doing. I'll definitely be supporting
You go man! That looks awesome! Got a necessary suggestion: You need to put drain plugs on lower rear of each pontoon. The factory ones on front are too high and since you have all that weight, you must have the rear ones mounted on lower rear. I have one also and am so glad I did that. It will take on water and it's too heavy to tip up too drain out in front drain plugs. 😊👍🙏
I’m fine with the stock ones. My deck is easily lifted off and so is the floor so it’s no biggie to drain it when needed. It stays in the garage so I barely ever need to drain it
Don't drill holes in the bottom of the pontoons , I have a Bass Raider , Ever now and then water will accumulate in the pontoons , Get A Plastic Hose For An Aquarium , One that will Just fit thru the Original Plug Holes N the top of the front of each Pontoon , tilt your Bass Raider Forward Just A Little Bit , I Mean Just A Little And All the Water Will Run Forward , Put The Plastic Hose Inside A Shop vac Hose And Duct tape it sealed , Shove the Plastic Hose into the Hole After removing the Plugs And Vacuum The Water Out With The Shop Vac , it'll get every Drop , I had Syphoned The water out But The Shop Vac Gets Every Single drop out , replace the plug and do the other pontoon the same way , takes about 5 minutes ,hope that helps you out , I wouldn't trade my Raider For Nuttin
I've had this for a year now. I put kayak drain plugs in the rear lower ends of each pontoon. I've built Proline and Donzi boats for a living. Holes in boats if done correctly will not leak and if correct sealant is used, adheres like epoxy to the plastic. You will learn as you go along that taking your time, properly installing mods with SS bolts and screws are the way to go. Factory does it and they last forever. Believe me me, it also looks more factory is done uniformly and correctly spaced.
Yeah it’s hard NOT to do anything to the raiders lol I just got mine last month and can’t use it yet as the lakes are frozen up here. But it’s a ton of fun buying everything it needs and I just built my deck yesterday. Looks good 👍
I think air pillows (thin plastic bags with air in them) they use for shipping stuff in boxes are the best to put inside the boat shell. It limits the amount of water that can get into the shell of the boat. Better and lighter than foam and won’t get water logged...
@@WesAlexander thank you for responding. I feel like a dummy. I meant the process you used to place them on the Bass Raider. I have had difficulty with them sticking on in the past, so I was wonder how you got yours to stay on.
Nice mods....I just picked up a 3.5 merc for my Bass Raider. I'm a little concerned on trailering the boat with the motor on & strapped down. Have you tried it yet and if so, how did it work out?
with all that shit you have on that little boat you would need the gas motor. I have one and do minimal. just a lithium battery a cheap plastic stand and 55lb troller. I do 3.8mph
