Pella Vinyl Window Review 

Another amazing video my friend . You are a spot on with every detail of that window. I've had Pella Windows for over 20 years and I've never had a single issue. Anytime I've needed basic maintenance or service it has always been a pleasure to work with Pella. That serial number provides all the information they need every time I call, what a great product, what a great company!! It's not the cheapest but you get what you pay for in this market. Quality, quality, quality and Value!!!! As they say "Buy it Nice or Buy it Twice "!!!!

Near as I can tell, neither of Pella's two vinyl options hide the sash locks the way you show in the video. Is that an add-on? Or maybe it went away when they introduced the hidden screen?

Thanks for the vid.Just made up my mind today to replace my 100yr. old wood windows and 45yr. old storm windows with the pella 250 windows.Will get Low E glass,no grids, in solid brown. Will be ordering in about a month.

Killer channel. I appreciate the work you put into your videos. Quick question....the narrow frame on the single hung....is that still how they are made? Went to my local pella store in mas and they only had the double hung windows to show. Appreciate the help!

Anything I can do to repair a window , which is a Pella product, a slider about 96 inches , outside to outside , that is about 3/16 out of square and holds water when it rains . Secondly I developed a gap between the double hung windows and the frame , the response was to use jamb nuts to close that gap , which now causes a squeak when you tilt the window, especially in colder weather and have use WD40

Hi Jeff, thank you for the video. All your videos have been very helpful. Signed ups for Jeffs list. I like your presentation on the pella. Looking to replace 16 windows. with Pella what is the average price I should expect per window installed.double hung.

My experience with Pella has been a nightmare! I purchased the windows through Lowe’s for $7,800.00. Pella manufactured the wrong window for my master bedroom, installed the exterior pane of glass on the bottom sash of my kitchen window backwards (facing outwards to the elements), installed the grid improperly in four of the 10 windows, one grid is now coming apart between the two panes of glass in another window in my living room, and most of the windows are extremely hard to raise and lower. This project began in July of 2021 and my windows still aren’t right. And to top it all off, today I was informed that Pella representatives do not intend to correct the problem with the windows being very difficult to open and close! As a disabled veteran on a fixed income, this was a pretty big investment for me. And now, I have to come out of pocket to find another window company to see if they can fix my new Pella windows.

12 windows for our two story house..getting quoted 28k. We really like the pella but they seem expensive vs the Ply Gem pro series at 13k. Thoughts on the Ply gem as I havent seen any videos on them

Can someone explain Pella’s Window Company Guarantee “Our Satisfaction Guarantee must be interpreted within the parameters of our contract.” I was told that my install issue was not guaranteed based on their quoted reply..

Got the 250 series. Not happy with the quality of these. Each double-hung window has 2 locking mechanisms which are supposed to automatically lock when closed. You have to open and close them SEVERAL times to get both locking mechanisms to engage.

Is one of the pella windows the 250 series? Have the 250 series changed since this video? If so how? Thank you.

Hi Jeff, I'm an architect designing a Passive House building. (very energy efficient) I'm comparing the Pella 250 double hung with the Impervia double hung . looking at the infiltration values, I'm puzzled at why the Impervia has 0.3 cfm vs the 250 0.1 cfm. this is for a building in the Catskills 2 hrs North of New York City. Do you have any idea why the Impervia is not as airtight? It seems like it is a more robust window.

Is that window 250 series or 150 series? And is the 250 a better window than the 150 and is pella better than milgard

A salesman from a local installer came to my house and quoted me $9300 for 7 Duralast sliding Windows. I think Sunrise Windows makes them. Any experience with Duralast windows? Is Pella encompass sliding windows a better choice? Thanks

Jeff, I Iive in Northeast Ohio. I had Pella come out and give me a quote for their Pella 250 vinyl Series window. What do you think I should use for this type of climate. Do i consider the 350 Series that has been discountinued, i don't know what the next Series is better in vinyl windows. I am looking into Windsor but not sure if I like the block and tackle being exposed. Any thoughts on that too?

Man Jeff I'm really glad I found your channel. I've had a couple of estimates. But still learning to make the right decision. You have helped me a lot. Today I went to Lowe's. I did like the impervia but it's a little pricey. At almost 1000$ for 1 window. Not including installation. I wasn't prepared to see these kind of numbers. The other window I really liked is the pella 350. But it has been discontinued. Do you know if they plan on replacing it? And why did it get ditched? Thanks so much

Very disappointed in the three pane Pella window after three years the window squeaks very loud every time we open it. So we contacted Pella they sent us the replacement parts and said will charge you for installation of $195. I will never buy another Pella window product. A window should not squeak like that.

Did you mention the two different series? Which is which? I've watched twice, but may have missed it. I'm familiar with the Pella 250 series, but I don't know of their other offerings.

How good are the 250 series when it comes to sound reduction from outside noise?

I don't know if it's the most trusted company but I have been reading in multiple forums that their customer service is terrible. Eg if you need to replacement parts or if there is a defect, nobody will ever return your call. Any thoughts on that?

Iive in Brooklyn, NY. I got a quote directly from Pella of $11k (with install) for seven 250 series replacement windows. Does this sound about right? Also, got a quote from a local dealer of $8k for Provia Aspect but I am not familiar with this company. Worried about part availability and or warranty.

i am in confused state whether to go with PELLA 250 series or Provia Endure. I am planning to replace all windows in the 22yr old town house. Could you please give a right opinion, the price range is almost the same for both. I live in Northern Virginia

Great channel and great content, thank you! I'm trying to replace ~20 windows and torn between Pella 250 (vinyl) and Pella Impervia. 250 costs about 26k while Impervia costs 38k. Debating if the extra 12k is worth it for Impervia. Just moved in to this house and plan to stay for at least 10 years, so can see both options being a good fit for us. We're in Massachusetts and will get the Low-E + Argon glass.

Which model is the narrow frame Pella? We are looking to replace 30 year old aluminum windows in a farmhouse in Georgia and want the narrower frame.

I would NEVER buy another Pella. I once got a Pella bay window with the blinds inbetween the window panes. A month after the installation the opener mechanism for the blinds broke. The window had already been discontinued with no parts available. I was never able to open and close the blinds on the window. on the left side. It was also very hard to get the window to lock after being opened (warped frame). Paid a lot of money for a window that NEVER worked right. Pella's customer service sucked also as they always gave us the run around and never made good on their bad window. NO TO PELLA!!!

Run away from Pella windows. Check all reviews and the class action suit against them. They are terrible windows. Every window in my house leaks, some of which has caused considerable damage. A wall of my house is getting torn down right now to replace rotted wood caused by these windows. Some started leaking within 3 years. No customer service. If you read a positive review, they have just been installed, or they are n a location with minimal rainfall.

There are much better windows available for less money! European type windows with better quality, hardware and performance.

yeah, idk about higher tear ones/can't say much, but the ones you get at Lowes the 150 series, they cost an arm and a leg for what they are, and build quality is absolute garbage!
