That's because Vibram has patented the design and aggressively sues anyone making 5 toe shoes. I bet Peluva will get sued and have to change the design or go out of business.
This was a good video man. I have like 10 / 15 pairs of 5 fingers shoes that go to show How much i love toes shoes. I wouldn't mind getting me a pair to try out since they are the same price as the 5 fingers. One question I do have is are they wash them? Thanks you for sharing this video.
So interested in these! What size peluva and European size in v train are you? I had to send back my last vibram and trying a size up because my second toe is longer then my first
@@sonsofsever interesting. Thanks! I've heard peluva is a size up .5? I'm a 43 vivo but tried 44 in vibram and it bothered my second toe so I ordered a 45. I will Definatly take a look at peluva!
Depends on the pair and what you’re looking for. I would say they are more comfortable overall. And the stack height is more, so if you’re looking for a little more rubber under foot than what vibram offers in any of their models, these will treat you right.
With what? A Vibram? It’s definitely a little more roomy. It’s not as much of a glove fit, except more toward the toes. It feels like a normal tennis shoes that has toe separations. That’s the best way I think I can put it 😂
These shoes may not exist for long, since Vibram has patents on their designs and is very aggressive at defending them. They sue anyone who makes a shoe with 5 toes.
I will be very interested to see how that goes. From what I can see they’ve been running for a solid year now and I haven’t heard anything about that. We work closely with both companies, so it’d be interesting to see that go down.
@@sonsofsever That's good to hear, maybe there's been a change in policy at Vibram and they're now letting other companies make 5 toe shoes. Since Peluva has been in business that long, I would assume that if Vibram was going to sue them, they would have already. Allowing more companies to make 5 toe shoes should be good for the barefoot shoe industry.
@@stevenglen5971 I just know that for years, Vibram claimed that the 5 toe design itself was patented, and would legally defend those patents, which is why they were the only 5 toe shoes around. It seems like they're allowing Peluva, though, which will be good for the industry as a whole.
