i have apc type 1 and i haven't been able to walk for 3 weeks (since the accident) i can't wait to go to the doctor and be able to walk again :) edit: apparently i misunderstood i didn't have apc type 1, but two ischiopubic fractures one on the right and one on the left, i am doing so much better now and am walking with crutches :D the doctor said in a month i won't need them anymore
I had a bad accident in which my horse somersaulted head over heels and I was still in the saddle. I had a vertical fracture of my pelvis at the front (pubic rami) and a compression fracture of my skull which went largely unnoticed until much later. They were definately more worried about my head although ligament damage put me in a brace for over a year. If I had been a good patient and not loaded up on pain meds in order to get back in the saddle I am sure I could have avoided years of back pain. But you cant tell kids especially if theyre out on their own and think they know best!
My mom died from a pelvic fracture… she was on the blood thinner Coumadin. If you know anyone and they have a pelvic fracture and are on a blood thinner.. their life is in jeopardy.
Thank you. It was a v good video. Plz upload a video on acute management of trauma pts from ortho point of view.....acute management of fractures, external fixators....and types
I got slammed on my rite side hip and I went to the hospital because I was walking funny and they said I needed surgery rite away I never got it and 2 years later im having trouble walking !
Sir this is a really great and helpful video, but sir i have read in textbook that major source of bleeding in pelvic fractures is venous rather than arterial, moreover, associated visceral injuries are in LC-2,and closed head injuries are in LC-3..thanks for the video sir...
Unfortunately I still have too worse problems according to my very complex painful inducted pelvic fracture wich was caused because of a heavy fall and in Belgium the medicals really even didn't care about these huge serious problems neither unfortunately. In Uz-Gent this Dokter even was already too afraid and declared me just to live like this but because I really can't hold this any longer I am going now to a good Professor in UZ Leuven instead and I really hope that this Professor can improve all the best to can be able for recovering everything about this instead now 🤞🍀💯
hello I will have questions about the heart 1- Is it necessary to increase the end-diastolic volume to increase systolic pressure? 2- If peripheral resistance increases, does diastolic pressure and systolic pressure increase? 3 - If the heart is pumping 70 cc of blood, where does the remaining 40 cc go? 4- If the pulse volume peripheral resistance and diastole remain normal, does cardiac output and blood pressure increase even if only the pulse is fast? 5 - If blood pressure increases, does blood flow accelerate or if blood pressure decreases, does blood flow stop?
I can tell you when I get to that point. Almost two months after my car accident I'm still using crutches and can't make a single step without holding onto something.
@@isaiahmorales3847 Noup, I would have had a surgery if the bones had moved only 5mm more. Lucikly, I wasn't operated. Now it's 10 weeks after the accident and I can walk around the house without the crutches if I need to. I don't practise that, but while I'm cooking in the kitchen or smth like that I can do that without them. I also didn't have much pain. I've used painkillers maybe only 2 weeks after they have let me go home.
