USB Flash Drive Problems: no media usb fix or pen drive showing no media 0 bytes or no media usb fix or pen drive no media problem or please insert a disk into drive or and many others are very common problems with faulty USB Flash drives.

Im sorry for the situation brother. But please have you attached a drive letter to the drive. That is step no 1. Step no 2 try and see if it works on another computer. Hi bro, I'm sorry about that. The other way is you can disassemble your flash drive if it is the type with a circuit board. If it is the other metallic one then you can not identify the part number because it's manufactured like a memory card, and the problem is that some of the manufacturers do not want to give the flash firmware to their clients to fix the drive thrmselves. It's really bad and that is the problem. But first of all let's check. Please WhatsApp me on 00233246842497 so that we can work together and see the how we can fix it. This is bad brother. For this you need data recovery equipment to get the information out. What you have to do is to remove the memory chip from your original flash drive and fix it on the data recovery USB flash disk then you can be able to retrieve your data. So sorry about that brother. The unknown flash id error means the version of the firstchip software is not compatible with your flashdrive so you need to try other firstchip software within the search until the other flashchip software is able to recognize your flash drive. It means the manufacturer doesn't want to show it or conceal it from the user so that they will not be able to fix it. Most of these modern flash drives comes in the condition which is very bad. Would you please help me with a Phison chip? My version is PS2251-07(PS2307) - F/W 08.01.5B [2019-05-09] and everything i tried with MPTools like you did in this video didn't solve the problem. Sir my sandisk cruzer blade usb pendrive is not showing anyting, when i plug it in pc it just freeze the pc. I tried lot by using file manager normal formet/cmd/disk management/ any 3rd party software all are froze when the pendrive plugged in pc but when i unplugged the pendrive everything back to normal. This is interesting, but WHY does it work? Does replacing the firmware simply erase any record of past logs of problems, such as remapped bad sectors? It comes across as a Bandaid solution. Or does it get at the root cause? Comments?

@@saforotech8552 Thanks. In that case, it IS a Bandaid solution. It likely wouldn't erase bad sectors, but remap them. And simply reformatting a drive would do the same thing, only more quickly and easily. So how is this any better? On a separate note, how do you find the exact correct firmware file on the website? It's all in Chinese. Even if you use a translator to translate it into your own language, there are tons of files with similar firmware version names.

Yes brother you will need specialised equipment for data recovery to get your information out. One of the specialised equipments looks like a USB device that you can remove your memory chip from the pendrive of flash drive and insert it to read the chip and get the informations out. The other one just requires mounting a test point and connecting the USB flash drive to the data recovery master equipment and all your data will appear on their software then you can image it or copy them directly. That is the easiest way brother. There is another way that you will have to solder so many wires from your flash drive memory chip section to an USB sd card reader to get an established connection between the two. So that is the problem brother. Let me research and see if there is another way so that I can get back to you. Sorry bro, if the controller part number is unknown then it is rather unfortunate. The other way I know only works for a few types. Normally the big or standard size flash drive. How you go about it is to disassemble the flash drive and locate the controller chip.take the part number from it and search for the firmware on Google. On my first trial it showed the part number which is chipfc, on messed up with some settings on mp flash tool and currently it doesn't show my part number instead it shows unknown. Lucky to have stored the part number when it showed

Brother this is a big problem. It seems nowadays most of the new USB flash drive coming out part numbers cannot be identified. This is because one some of the lm are manufactured like a memory card or sd card (all in one integrated). But if your flash drive is the big ones that can be disassembled to see the part number chip separately from the main memory then there is better chance you can get the part number indicated on the chip. The other way is to open the flash drive if it's the standard or big type that can be disassembled and you can check the controller chip physically and you can see part number on it. This is rather unfortunate bro. This means the manufacturer did not want the flash drive details to be known for repairs. Pls bro can you send me an image of the flash drive on my WhatsApp number +233246842497 for verification. I want to know what the flash drive looks like and if it can be easily disassembled? If it's a standard circuit board type flash drive you can see the controller part number chip on the circuit board. Also I want to know the exact problem with the flashdrive. Maybe I need to try this as the rest of all tools plus diskpart didn’t clear up attributes. I can’t delete just watch a movie too from this drives and open up files but can’t delete anything

Ok bro I wanted to see if the USB flash drive is showing 0mb in capacity. So first command : diskpart Second : list disk. That is another way you can forward the flash drive in DOS mode. Hope you are ok now bro. Thanks
