I bought an M205 with a blue swirl barrel and an Extra Fine nib. I was surprised at how smooth the steel nib wrote. It is a bit thin for my hand and do prefer the M800 for comfort. If Pelikan made the 800 with a steel nib, it would be fabulous. And less expensive. I wonder if you can put the nib from the 200 into the 800. Your apitite is very nice. I like the color and transparency of the pen. I cannot see the ink level with mine, but the criticism is very small. This is a great review.

Very nice looking pen,I have a few pelikan pens(mainly vintage).I am torn between this pen & a Esterbrook junior in Pumpkin Latte finish which is getting really good reviews & they are about the same price:

I have that pen but with the extra fine nib. I love it. The color is great and the ink matches perfectly. It writes very well. Enjoy yours. :)

That's a nice one! I'm yet to bag a Pelikan, but the M205 has interesting variations.

I have many models of Pelikans. In my experience, most of their M nibs write like Bs, so whenever I order a Pelikan now, it is with a F nib, which writes more like a M.

I have the same pen. It's a lovely color for those who enjoy teal. I had a good chuckle when you were debating between M200 and M205 because the answer was right under your thumb at the time. 😅 Let us know how you get on with the fine nib; I've only gotten M and B in this model.
