After all this time I still haven't seen any footage of punches being thrown at Swindon players, only a "handbag" scuffle. The pitch invasion was hardly a surprise so why weren't the Swindon players briefed to get to the tunnel asap? Any footage you can point us to, similar to your Swindon players scuffles at the start of your videos would shed some light on the severity of the incident. I think the media exaggerated the "attack" and even the account according to your manager and player differed (it went from a cut to a scratch within a couple of hours). To be clear though, no-one condemns real violence, it has no place in the game.

Think you've missed the point. Whilst Swindon fans were throwing plastic bottles, it was in response to Vale fans confrontational behaviour and throwing items. Tranmere fans showed much more class in the same situation some years ago and we had beaten them.

We were standing in the Lorne Street and bottles were coming from both sets of fans as for the seats Swindon fans must have thrown these then Vale fans throw them back both are wrong

@@neilmills6044 I was at the game and from where I was the Vale fans were throwing stuff at the Swindon end first (my dad almost getting hit by a glass bottle). There was even a post made to a Vale forum where a few Vale fans were planning on “making it like the 70’s and 80’s” before the ball was even kicked. Of course it weren’t all Vale fans but it was definitely a small group of the trying to intentionally cause trouble at the ground

Thanks, but don't think it was a minority. Most were looking at causing or provoking trouble rather than celebrating a Wembley appearance. Unfortunate as I usually enjoy the trip to Burslem as I love the oatcakes!!

As a 60 year old Vale fan sitting in the railway stand I saw objects being frown back and forth from both sets of fans terrible behaviour from both sets of fans Vale fans love their club Swindon fans love their club GIVE RESPECT please
