qwertyuiop qwertyuiop yes, absolutely! Also, the tutorial book I’m working on rn will have a detailed description of precisely that, examples and everything.
She doesn’t needs reference, I think she just observes them to lit up her creative spark otherwise she is god level at simplification and drawing from memory.
Let me break down the process based on what I see: 1) Carefully draw a few curves 2) Suddenly its a face! 3) Rub it out for some reason 4) Now it's an even better Face! ... ?) Stop watching youtube and go practice.😅
I recently found out about you on IG and every new post of yours just flat out amazes me. I was getting ready to paint something today and I wanted to try and incorporate a more flowly linework like yours and was wondering if you had a YT I could watch. Sure enough, here you are. I'm about to start this video but before I do, I already subscribed and just wanted to tell you your artwork is some of the best I've ever seen and I follow a *LOT*.
I'm fascinated by your process - it's like you're tracing a reference invisible to us, the way you jump across the page. So interesting! And riveting - this is definitely visual story telling.
Thank you so much for sharing! It`s very inspirational to watch, even though I can`t even begin to understand the thought process behind. All those years of practice and work seem to be packed into each stroke. Looking forward to more badass work
It's nice to finally see someone else who draws like I do with shapes and contours. I learned on my own this way for many years so the constructive methods I see most people using almost never work for me.
Hey Eliza I really love your stuff. Ive been studying you a lot recently and I have to say its truly amazing how you maintain the looseness and sketchiness of working in pencil while also giving the viewer so much information.
would you say that your work has been influenced by claire wendling? i was going through my books of hers this evening trying to flesh out her drawing process a little bit. this looks a little similar though maybe with a little less calligraphy on the line weight. great work though, def check out her books if u have not ☺️
Hello Eliza, I gave up drawing a while ago but watching you draw made me Wana start again. Is it okay if I copy your style? Is that art theft? I really love your style and I would be very grateful if I could use your style.
There is nothing like art theft so you can try to copy her style. But I recommend the copying for learning purposes. Otherwise everyone would compare you to the artist that drew that way first.
