The 2017 Pendleton Round-Up & Happy Canyon just finished up here in our little town. I have a few things that I love about the week. I couldn't film them all because of responsibilities, but I tried to get what I could, so below are the various parts of this video.
First, Flint Rasmussen singing the Pendleton Round-Up song. It's a crowd pleaser and he always does it the second night of the Banner Bank Pendleton PBR Classic.
My next favorite thing to watch is Happy Canyon. I only got a few seconds of Jake and Lainey in the show this year, see if you can pick them out of the rest of the square-dancers.
My next favorite part of the week are the Indian horse races. The athletic ability of the riders and the horses never ceases to amaze me. It's always thrilling, and must be seen in person to appreciate.
The absolute best part of the week is the Grand entry. I got a spot right on the fence to film it this year. I got to know both courts pretty well this year. They are amazing young ladies.
