(Spoiler) After he helped her during her anxiety attacks, and then when Penelope realized he started drinking again and helped him (and both had ended their relationships), I totally thought the season would end with them together (or at least kissing or realizing about their feelings), I was so disappointed it didn’t happen. Well let’s hope something happens in S4!
Sameee! I like that rich girl for Schneider. I really do! But it's clear as day how much he cares for Penelope and her family, as if they were already his. Penelope is his true soulmate
the thing is i would love to see schneider and penelope together as a couple, i feel like they would be the best slow burn couple they've been through so many things together and just them realising they're in love with each other and getting married at the end or just being with each other. BUT then again i love the fact that they're best friends and aren't the trope where friends of the opposite sex can't be just that. they would just be so sweet together.
I feel like them two need to end up thougether near the end and then getting married could be the perfect final episode. You know how when victor got married penelope was feeling like she needs somone to love like him weel the thing is she has had him all his life infront of him. I relly belive and hope the productors/creaters of one day at a time do it because they relly need to it will be the best thing for this amazing tuching series .

Ok, sooo... am I the only person who does not want to see them end up together romantically? They honestly are just great, close friends but I don’t sense any romantic attraction at all between the characters. Plus, it’s honestly refreshing to watch a show where two people of the opposite sex are close friends and don’t hook up, I honestly get tired of seeing that trope.
Yeah and he calls her sis. He does see her as a sister and family member. I don't see romance. Maybe if the show lasts for a few for seasons and the relationship develops I could get on board, but for now, I just hope they are together as best friends.
I disagree. They can hardly be friends. They may take a little while to see it, but Schneider truly loves Penelope and I'm sure once she sees passed his quirks and immaturity, she'll realize he's the one for her and her kids
