while loid was out of line hoisting Anya up and yelling in her face, in fairness, she did need a scolding. this sounds like this wasn't the first time she tried this, plus episode 1 she played with his stuff and got herself kidnapped (even if loid was part to blame for being a crappy dad in the beginning) so it's understandable why he was upset to not let that happen again.
@Trashthlete More Spoiler Alert Do you mean before or after the bomb dropped? Because before, I don’t remember father being that bad to Loid aside from trying to snuff out his pro-war feelings. And after, it feels like comparing apples to oranges with Loid’s post-bombing life to Anya’s home life.
How is he out of line ? Sometimes kids don't take you seriously so you have to yell in their face. Once you put the fear in them regarding whatever shit they were trying to do they won't do it again.
@@itachi93674 if you have to put fear in your kids maybe you shouldn’t have them he was out of line screaming in her face and hoisting her up she’s a child for Christ sake just about not a toddler anymore, and kids are bound to explore their own house
I love how Loid is literally 8 steps ahead of everyone!! But nah even I jumped back when he aggressively disciplined Anya at the end but it was from a place of concern We got hella animes in October and I can’t wait!!
Yeah, but what she was doing was very dangerous. Remember ep 1 when she was kidnapped because of playing with the radio? Yeah, we do not want a second time. Or a bomb exploding.
@@TheMaitoPulla She's also a kid who knows she has a spy and an assassin as her parents. I feel most kids would be super curious in those circumstances.
@@edge_58342 Right? I have a story too. When my parents got their first car, I was like 2, and their parking spot was right outside our window. Apparently, I would randomly wake up in the middle of the night, start crying, and then point at the car when asked why. So, my poor dad, ended up driving his toddler around the neighborhood in the middle of the night. On multiple occasions. The things parents do.
To give some clarity about the dog arc, that part of the story took up an entire manga volume so it makes sense they wanted to save something that long for the second half of the season while using a side chapter to finish up the first half of the season.
Am I the only one who thinks regardless of the order it went in the manga, for the sake of the anime they should've swapped around Episode 11 and 12's placement? Cause this was a good episode but didn't feel like a Season Finale, meanwhile I they'd ended with Episode 11 as 12 it would've left off with Anya saving a person, getting her first Stella, and the teaser for the Dog...
@@audreynothepburn7663 5 episodes is waaay too much. We're talking about 6 chapters, the pacing would be atrocious if they take that long. It's gonna be 3 episodes, but the first episode of Part 2 is gonna be the second extra chapter (the first extra chapter was this episode).
Anya is smart, she’s always setting everyone up in a way that will get them to do what she wants them to do while not exposing her powers. It’s a good thing she’s just a kid with a good heart or otherwise she would be manipulating everyone.
That's what I said! Also, in one version, Your said " What do you think you're doing to my daughter?!", Which might be just as cute if not cuter than when Yor called herself her mother.
(Around 7:45) Idk but that little "wow." from Anya followed by Loid saying it the exact same way absolutely broke me and everyone else I was watching this episode with...
I was expecting their reaction to it since it was the funniest bit in that episode, but i guessed they missed it (except Loid's) because they're still laughing at Yor's kick.
I don't know the name but I remember it's one of those ones, that during the start of the pandemic, certain aquariums set up ways for people to face-time with them so the fish get human interaction so that when aquariums re-opened they'd be used to people. It's a train of thought that leads nowhere important but I think it's neat.
@@rosietales I think unagi is just a Japanese word for eel. Like the thing from Avatar The Last Airbender or one of the most terrifying things ever rendered from Mario 64.
When loid screamed at anya, her saying "she will run away" makes me wonder when she was adopted 4 times smth definitely left it's impact idk just my guess and in one of the episodes in beginning while giving measurements to the tailor she said "am i being sold off?" Doesn't sound normal for a 4 or 5 year old to say, even the drama she watches never really said anything such, i wonder how is she saying these things, i kinda believe smth did happen in past.
I only read Spy x Family manga after I saw the first teaser of the anime and I absolutely love it!!! It's the 5th manga I've read and until now, I haven't read a manga as wholesome as this... And now this adaptation is freaking awesome... Wit Studio and Cloverworks really gives us an outstanding anime... I can't wait for October to come!!!
Yes, yes yes, I was waiting for this~ I love Yor's sprint into punt kick around the corner. I replayed it like twice. Lol Loid is such a cute tired Dad (* ᴗ ᴗ)
No survivors = no witnesses = no disguise required.... Power confirmed, Anya will definitely be able to understand the doggo in Part2 Meanwhile Yor seems to be leading the pack on work - life balance!
Yeah, I feel like this and episode 11 should've been swapped around. The set-up for the dog really feels like it should've been the cliffhanger for the end of the season.
Idk if yall have seen/reacted to it on Patreon, but if Patreon hasn’t already suggested it, pls pls react to Wotakoi Love is Hard for Otaku, it’s such a great rom com and I know Roshi and Sheera would love it
I honestly don't understand why people are calling Loid abusive for disciplining Anya. She knows that her parents both have a dangerous occupation and knew the consequences of entering their room. And of course, humans are notoriously curious creatures and they tend to let their curiosity get the best of them, which leads to a bad situation. Just as how Anya got kidnapped by a group of enemies and almost got Loid identity revealed. Sometimes children's need a little bit of discipline and I'm glad that Loid yelled at Anya, only to teach her that it's dangerous to go inside their rooms. As a south East Asian that was born in a strict house hold, I would get slapped or whooped even for the smallest mistake. So I definitely know the difference between discipline and abuse.
The reason why they didn’t do the the one with the dog is because it’s part of an arc that’ll probably cover maybe a couple of episodes and want to pace it more easily. Plus the manga is bi-weekly so as to not catch up to it.
There is a preview on the Toho animation channel. I can’t wait! I loved this episode. It shows how many things Twilight is juggling and how far he’s pushing himself. I love how he was ready to complain for being harshly overworked but stopped himself the minute he saw Anya’s smiles and laughter. He wants to do everything in his power to keep that peace even if it completely drains him. Also, seeing Yor blushing and thinking Loid is cute is my life and giving a badass kick to boost. ♥️ Anya bless her soul helped her father twice from the shadows. God, I love all three of them so much! Twilight playing agent penguinman was a highlight by itself!
@@audreynothepburn7663 don't know how much their budget would cover but I would think having a 15 episode season to cover everything for contuity sake would not be too much to ask. I mean all the animation is being outsourced to Korea, and they're known for being affordable to animate dozens of episodes.
It was kind of weird for them to end the previous episode on the dog scene only for the last episode of this cour to not have any correlation to it and it not be picked up again for another three months.
I don't read the manga, but you know there has to be an arc where Loid has to work with a fellow female spy and it's gonna seem like he is cheating on Yor.😅
This whole Spring season felt like it just went by in a flash. The episodes of the show also felt like they were only 5 minutes long. I guess the show was really that entertaining. It definitely made Spring 2022 amazing for me! Although the weekly comfort show had ended, it'll only be one season worth of wait for the continuation, and COTE S2 is just around the corner. We'll all see each other again here as well!
