For anyone who is wondering why she’s mic’d up: she was chosen by Penn and teller from the audience, they are all mic’d up, she is not in on the trick; however, is able to answer any questions about the trick as proceeded
At 01:13, more than half of the credit card is visible, protruding from her pants pocket. Then, at 01:17, the credit card appears to magically re-enter her pocket. Absolutely not edited, I know credit cards like to do this stuff
It IS edited. It doesn't mean there is any funny stuff happening. It's a TV show...they likely filmed her from "stage view" walking up the stairs, stopped, and then did it over from the other angle just to make the shot of her being invited on stage more interesting. People also don't keep their credit cards in their front pocket like that. They probably selected her, asked if she has a credit card, told her to get it out while a producer mic'd her up. Again, it doesn't mean the actual trick isn't genuine. It means it's not someone with an iphone filming street magic...it's a multi-million dollar tv production.
It's an edited television show. They either A)pick someone from the audience before rolling, Mic her up, then start the show and then the "choice" is recreated. OR, B) they make their choice, cut, mic her up, then continue with the act. It doesn't mean she's a stooge. They have to do it this way or you wouldn't be able to hear her.
@lifesbutastumble Do you not understand how bad it looks to have so obviously picked the person in advance and then try to make it look like a spontaneous on the spot selection?
@lifesbutastumble Boom mics are a thing. So is saying "a random audience member previously selected". How many times has Brooke, and Alyson before her, said that for the contestant magicians? As much as I like P&T, this was just lazy and bad production.

@@lisaellingwood1351the sled that Teller sent the credit card down is visible - you can also notice notches in both trash can lids where the sled went.
@@lisaellingwood1351 Teller reaching deep into that bag is likely where it happened. If you notice, each of the smaller metal trash cans have cut-outs on the lids. That's the first clue. Also from the overhead shot, watch teller pull a long item out that looks like a slide disguised with fake lettuce. It likely went through the first cut-out, then the second cutout and into the burger box, he slid the card down while he was rummaging through the brown paper bag, pulled out the take-out foil tray as a cover, then pulled out the slide contraption.
@@frostychicken3652 Because the burger box was held closed with a rubber band, the "track" that went through all of the trash bins probably also went inside the burger box...when teller removed the track, the rubber bands closed the box...of course that's my best guess.
