I will break this down very easy… if Penn state changed its offensive scheme to actually compliment our talent WV has no shot at this… if this is the same offense that we have ran under the last three cordinators then wv will upset us… The only thing that’s beating Penn state is their own coaching.

Totally agree, i think Penn State has always been a better overall program then WVU, with a more reputable tradions of sucess and larger fan base.

Ahhhh yes, a bias opinion, my favorite. You want to talk about WVU not being able to compete with PSU, how about keeping the nittany lions within 1 score until half way through the third quarter last year with a much worse team and in happy valley. I’m not gonna say WVU is gonna win, but to say it won’t even be close is showing your football ignorance.

If you look at PSU message boards, this opening game concerns them. This guy has clearly done 0 research into WVU.

Okay to good on offense? Come on dude. You guys didn't even see Jahiem White. He played the last half of the season and led all Freshman in several categories. Get familiar with him. Two power 5 receivers were brought in that had production in the SEC and B12. A returning tight end that had almost 500 yards and 4 touchdowns. Oh, and they LED power 4 in rushing. Much better than "ok to good" and u guys didnt face the best version of it by a LONGSHOT

The WVU team that played last year is completely different from this season. Many of the skillset players that were productive last season didnt step on the field until after the TCU game. Jaheim White, Rodney Gallanger, Hudson Clement, Traylon Ray were all true freshmen last season. A few of those players didnt even play vs PSU. WVU's offense towards the end of the season was completely different than how it was in the first few games. Not to mention CJ Donaldson played hurt all season with a busted shoulder, which is now healed after surgery. Its amazing to me how these college football podcasts will talk about a matchup and not even know much about the teams they are talking about. Obvious they know very little of the actual roster, how players progressed last season, etc. Greene will take a massive step forward this season, was recently mentioned as one of the best performers at the Manning passing academy, not just because of his individual improvement, but also from all the players around him improving. CJ will actually be healthy, Jaheim White's game will expand to also be a threat out of the backfield, Ray+Clement+Gallanger are no longer true freshmen and will improve, Bray & Robinson in the portal, DayDay Farmer as a incoming true freshmen that should be good enough to offer some production, & Kole Taylor as of the BIG12's top receiving TE. 6 of our top 8 starting+rotating OL returning. WVU's offense will be on a completely different level than where it was at the start of last season. PSU has a lot of change on this team. Roster, Staff, Concepts, etc... While I love the Andy K hire, and he'll def have a few "Gotchya" plays, and PSU will make plays, I think it could be a few qtrs for them to find their timing & rhythm. As I do think this PSU team will make the CFP as they continue to improve as the season progresses, but it could very easily be a rocky start to the season with two new coordinators. While that does offer some advantage with minimal film for review, can PSU take advantage of that, or will it take them a little to get in sync. I think WVU wins in an upset WVU 34 - PSU 30. I think WVU gets out to a bit more of a lead, but PSU plays better as the game continues and makes it a very close hard fought game by the 4th qtr. If this game was played as the 3rd game of the season, I think PSU would likely get the win, but with an improved WVU team on both offense & defense, playing in Morgantown, this is one of the rare years when WVU gets a # in the Win Column.

I hope PSU’s team thinks like Zach, because they are about to get smacked. He is clueless about WVU’s roster. The team that played PSU last year doesn’t even exist, the young skill players didn’t develop until the later half of the year.

WVU isn't going to do "the same things as last season." Theres so many more solidified weapons since that game.

A lock remember when Michigan got shocked in the upset of the century to APP ST... Forget the locks. Thats just the big guy talk against the little guy. We dont know yet who gonna win that game.

The level of ignorance is amazing. WVU did ground and pound the first part of last season, but development of Greene and the young receivers produced a productive deep passing game in the second half of the season. The offense is almost nothing like it was in the PSU game last year. Meanwhile, the defense will be much sharper and more aggressive with the most talented LB room in years and the best combination of talent, depth, and experience in the D backfield in 6 years. If you want a more accurate look at WVU, I'd be happy to be on the show and set some things straight.
