When you are the best player those two guards should’ve stayed in their lane. Penny wasn’t even drafted yet and folded up without Shaq and Kobe was a bench player/role player when Shaq went to LA. Without Shaq he got booted in the first round and missed the playoffs without Shaq until Gasol and eventually Bynum. Shaq made Orlando a playoff team in his rookie season they just lost out to the 8th seed do to a tiebreaker. Magic had only been in the league a few seasons and was coming off a 21-61 season. Shaq made them a 40+ win team ASAP. Shaq put up 23.4pts 14rebs 3.5blks and was the first rookie at that time who made the all star game as a rookie since MJ. And Shaq made it because he ACTUALLY deserved it! Shaq is the man on both those Magic/Lakers team not Penny and Kobe. That’s why both of them openly admitted how good they had it later on with the big fella. Shaq drawing double/triple team why these guards going one v one at the top of the perimeter. Penny & Kobe made mistakes just as Shaq did blaming it all on Shaq is false! Shaq openly wanted Penny as well as openly backed him on the during contract negotiations. Penny didn’t. Robin knows his role he never pulls on Batman’s cap!

How can you call yourself a competitor and MVP but miss 20 games cause a sprained hand or muscle tightness while players like Kobe, MJ, Magic, Larry, Duncan, KG, and AI legit be playing with broken hands or ACL injuries trying to lead their teams to the Finals. Hell even Paul Pierce play a full season AFTER getting stab 11 times months prior. Players now days too soft or don't want to achieve greatness like their peers before them
