A friend's father, in his 80's, had to go to Specsavers and pay to have wax cleaned out of his ears because the Scottish NHS doesn't do that anymore. He just wanted to be able to hear. There's quite a few people having to do this apparently. The start of private healthcare in Scotland?

My daughter with mental health issues ended up one night in a&e only to wait for a doctor for 4 and a half hours then the doctor said they are short staff and nothing they could do to help her,,gave her one tablet to help her sleep to take it home home... Does Deidre Brock need to be so nasty when she asks a question? This horrible aggressive attitude to constructive discussion is what we are up against here in Scotland. The SNP are so defensive when questioned and always want to blame Westminster, even on devolved matters. Honestly if I was English I would be happy to cut us adrift. The people of Scotland should be writing a thank you letter to the UK government every Christmas for continually bailing us out and being so understanding with these SNP dictators. After sixteen years of SNP governance Scotland is a disgrace to everyone who lives here and we only have ourselves to blame. Our government have no shame and are a total shambles. The question all SNP voters, MSP, and MPs fail to ask time and again is. Whose 'extra' money is being spent by SNP, is the extra spend affordable, is the extra spend giving better value for money. The extra spend from Barnett consequentials giving Scots more per head than English taxpayers, and to top this up further the hard pressed Scottish taxpayer has even more fiscal drag on tax thresholds and on top of that a 21, 42 and 47 % rates versus England. And, yes and SNP still have a budget black hole. Penny is right to question the morality of the thieving and wasteful SNP.
