@@rage4play78 Honestly it felt like their friendship was mostly used for comedic relief. It's been a while since I watched scrubs (one of my fav shows of all time btw) and I don't really remember any precious moments between them that weren't purely comedic. I wished they explored their dynamic in serious situations as well. On the other hand Sheldon and penny had a mix of everything, we've seen them at their best and worst. We've seen them love each other, hate each other, laugh WITH each other, laugh AT each other, being supportive, being vulnerable. Turk and JD on the other hand were barely explored beyond the "bromance" dynamic

I have many male friends, I still think Penny and Sheldon had better chemistry. Earlier in the show it could have happened. I think it would have been nice to show that Penny and Leonard could still be friends even after dating. A lot of people think that’s impossible too.

But you know that in real life, many men and women abuse friendship to get easy sex without commitment. This might be why may shows reflect that reality on screen (that and their insistence on demeaning any kind of long-term, monogamous relationship). So perhaps the change needs to begin in our society, before it can be reflected on screen. Platonic love is great, and should not be conflated with romantic and sexual attraction.
