Pretty cool. Funfact, Kentaro Miura drew this in college to show it to his friend(i cant remember who he showed it too but he was a manga artist), Miura drew prototype guts and puck, and he said that “I drew them, they live in my head” something along the lines of that
@@testosteroneoverdose the story is true, but this drawing here is from the berserk prototype he published in 1988, not the sketch that he showed George Morikawa in 1986. so the design may have changed a bit in those two years (I recall another interview where Miura mentioned guts was originally supposed to have a giant katana instead of the dragonslayer)
The scratchy guitar makes the song, gives it a sort of punk amateur esc feeling to the song, which fits the golden age when you remember the band of the hawk are mostly teens and are modeled after Miura's close friends
@@bladeoflight12hardcorepro50 I actually see it as the opposite in some weird way. I depict the 1997 demo one as Guts during Black Swordsman arc, where he is at his lowest, the Og one for the golden age where he is happiest, the 1998 one during the conviction arc where he starts to open up to Puck, Ishdiro, and Farnese, and than the 2012 one is that he is happy again with scheirke and his new comrades
I always though it was a terrible choice. Didn't fit the feel of the anime nor with the rest of the OST. But after all those years the meme became inseparable lol, so I'm glad that happened in the end Though if Berserk ever gets a good anime continuation, I hope they go for something more fitting lmao
I first heard this when I watched the show, it had to be early 2000s and it may have even been on RU-vid actually. I feel in love, and I can’t believe I just now found out all these different versions exist!
Tell me what, tell me what, tell me what you want I don't know why, don't know why, don't know why you afraid Tell me what, tell me what, tell me what you say I don't know why, don't know why, too late, it's too late Tell me what, tell me what, tell me what you want I don't know why, don't know why, don't know why you afraid Tell me what, tell me what, tell me what you say I DONT KNOW WHY, DONT KNOW WHY, TOO LATE, ITS TOO LATE!! this song will always be kick ass no matter how old i get.
Id love for there to be a good Adaptation as a movie series or anime, and in the epilogue, they play the Demo version at the end, showing where all the characters end up and happy. Also, oddly enough, ny favorite is the 1997 demo, but the 2012 is probably the oerfect vision they had. Had the Refined 1998 version, but with the guitar scratxhes in the beginnjng
Hearing the demo is like a love song, really made me think about GUTS and CASCA's relationship and how much GUTS really love her. Overall the demo to me is really good and what a waste this was....
