On the 5th of January 2024, I went on my second trip to Penrith to try and get a few more trucks for their Christmas collections as the previous trip did not go so well with minimal footage. When I got to the Friday zone the other day, I went into St Clair to try and find some trucks which I found the Mercedes bucher and SL84 on their breaks at the local shops. After going to see if the SL84 driver was at his truck I saw SP64 pull up with the driver swapping sides to get ready to start collecting. I followed him to the suburb of Colyton which was part Friday zone and the other part another zone. After getting permission of the driver to film I got into action to produce this video. The truck itself is one of the old General Waste trucks that Penrith used to run before the contract was renewed but it occasionally comes back out to its origin council to help for Christmas collections or when lack of spare trucks. In the hopper of the truck itself you can see the white paint peeling off revealing some of the old green paint from the previous contract.
