Great seafood...that Joe patties know he yells at his workers a long on the microphone.Been going there since 1995 from Huntsville Al. He's starting to have less fish now.
I’m a bit late with congratulations,,!! But I wish you all the best. God bless you both and your marriage. Thanks for all of your videos. I am so much enjoying them! Hope they continue. As far as the cooking, I keep wishing I could reach thru the screen an taste them. Love you guys!, ❤️❤️❤️
Adam, I remember as a young girl that moma use to take me and my 3 sisters, your Aunts, to the Sanger theater to watch movies on a Saturday. the cost was .25 cents each !!!!! Great memories !!!!!!! Love, Mom : )
I was at the Pensacola navel air base for recruiting training to recruit in St. Louis for 2 months when 9/11 happened very sad day but had an alright time down there when I could get off base which wasn't much. 😎👍
OMG, I was stationed on the Lexington in Pensacola back in 83-86. Loved that town. I know it has changed a bunch but I rode my motorcycle all over the gulf coast. Navy Blvd was the starting point for many adventures. Florabama. Gulf Shores, .Fort Walton to New Orleans. No bank account cell phone or credit card.... How did I survive! 😆 Oh yes, Lex was still at Allegheny Pier before moving to the port of Pensacola that happened long after I got out.
Find memories of the Lexington. I saw it many times when I was a kid, and my Grandad was the four man at the Navy Yard machine shop for many years. They helped service the Lex. I have a nice framed picture of it that was given to him when he retired.
@@AbomAdventures yeah, I was just typing that for anyone who were reading comments. I know “Us locals” know where the good stuff is. Haha. Seemed like a great day out. So interested in the smoked crab legs, sounds delicious... 🇺🇸😎
Abby! I have that same pillow. It's a different color but I love my pillow. I had hurt my tailbone a very long time ago as a child. I stepped out of my Dad's truck camper and missed a step and smacked my tailbone on the metal step. Had a difficult time sitting that whole camping trip. Now, many, many years later (just over 60 now) that tailbone is making a return visit as I sit a lot in my profession. :) That pillow is making all the difference. :)
To be honest, I had never seen your channel before and it popped up on my RU-vid. Thank you for the quick run through my hometown! I still remember before the ballpark when you avoided that part of town because of the smell from the water treatment facility ;) I worked at the Civic Center and the Bayfront auditorium during high school (PFHS c/o 91) . Miss my hometown, but love Texas as well. Thanks again.
I know the Gulf Breeze businesses were hurting, but when the Bay Bridge was closed, it was actually really nice walking around downtown Pensacola due to the little vehicle traffic. Veterans Park was really peaceful without all them cars whizzing by.
I love the Florida Panhandle, I tend to like the eastern Panhandle, Pensacola with it's nearby military bases tends to get a bit busy but I still like it all, I consider it the real historic Florida. Tupelo Honey = Wewahitchka, Chipola River
You might reconsider after visiting Saint Augustine. That is real historic Florida. Your point is very valid. Lots of Florida is historic. I also lived in Fernandina Beach Florida as a kid. I'm sure it's not the same now but the Shrimp Boat Festivals were epic! Shrimp Boats actually raced up the channel. Grandstands at the dock and everything. Flatbed at the dock bands all weekend. Party time. Now it's a stuck up craft fair! 😢
@@Titus-as-the-Roman you are probably "I'm sure" right. It's been many years since I was that far South. It's a long way from Texas 😉 I was born in West Hollywood, lived Pahokie, Titusville, Tampa, Fernandina Beach and Pensacola "While in Uncle Sam's employee" 😆
Just took a day trip with the wife to Pensacola from Oean Springs a few weeks ago. We typically run around Mobile but wanted to see what was going on over there. We did hit several antique shops on Navy and first stopped at the flea market you didn’t want to stop at 😆. Yeah, that place is something else! We plan on heading back over since we have an idea where several places are now.
Hey, this is cool ! I love joe patties...i am a native of Pensacola n currently live in Phoenix Az..but will be currently returning in August. Keep this going. I love it....🙂
Hi from the UK guys, just found your adventure channel this evening, what a lovely place to live. Loving the videos, keeping my fingers crossed to find an English version of Abby when I'm finally divorced. 🇺🇲🇬🇧❤️
I miss Pensacola so much! my husband was a native,we used to go driving around on road trips around the sm towns surrounding Pensacola,Robertsdale was one of them and we would go to breakfast just for a change of pace,we also lived the Halloween walks,we would stay at a bed and breakfast, and do the walk,it was so fun! also miss madigras and loved our little French Quarter haha and the margaritas were really good,I can go on and on but there was always something to do,he passed away and I moved to Knoxville but Pensacola will always be home, great video guys ♥️
We have been living in Atlanta for 35 years and are looking for a place to retire. This video showed me the way. I was born at NAS Pensacola in 1954 but have only visited for vacations since we left in 1955. We have been looking for a place with mild weather but within driving distance of Louisville, KY for visiting our granddaughter. The laid back vibe in downtown put us on task. And we get your concert take. We have been to Tool and Metallica and are seeing JT and Jackson Browne in Louisville on 8/13 then driving hard to Atlanta the next morning to see Wilco in Chastain Park at Atlanta the next evening. LOL
Home away from home. Im from Huntsville Al and my family and I come there 4 times a year and fish and hang out. Ill be there next week again. The Grand Marlin and Mcguire's Irish pub is a good place.
If you like smoked crab, you would love BBQ crab using a spice rub. You can put the rub right in the cooker water with a 1/4 cup of white vinegar and then drop the crab basket in once the water comes to a bowl and let it fuse with the meat. Soooo good. We break the crab in half while they are alive and separate the two halves to clean before cooking. Because of this, so easy for the rub seasoning get in.
You made me miss this town, I had house there when i was stationed there, 03-07 AM instructor, Dam I should never sold that house. right out back gate just down the road from Walmart.
It's always such a treat Abby/Adam to go on a trip with you guys....Interesting fun chat, and we get to see cool places you share with us.... Abby i googled The Vynals /Vinals?... Oy LOL....I saw Iron Maiden Adam.... Twisted Sister opened....HAHAHAAAAaaa... good old days!....((Have you found the small cans of sweet or hot Hungarian Paprika?made in Hun.)cans collectable)).... I had a 12x12 garden(miss it).... produced more than we could eat!... A fantastic vegetable garden is a soothing place to toil in... and the rewards!... Cheers Blessings 'Everyone'.... Thanks Adam!
Pretty funny Adam. Godsmack, Tool, Metallica. I'm a bit older than you and am still into them. I also got into Sons of Apollo (come on, when half of Dream Theater forms a band, you gotta check them out). Also got into quite a bit of symphonic style metal like Nightwish, Amarathe, etc...For Abby, I'm right there with you on JT and Jimmy Buffet (FINS UP!).
I see they put peeps with a butt pillow way in the back! HA Tailbones can really be painful , I injured mine when a horse fell with me . Hope it gets better before the big haul!
Ha! The girls hosting know we love the corner booths there. The metal chaired are too narrow and uncomfortable. We like the back area cause it’s a little quieter, but sometimes we have to just get what’s available.
Smell the bottom and if it smells like sweet pineapple it is ripe. Pick any one you want and set it on the counter till it ripens. If it smells like sweet pineapple eat it now or it turns to sugar.
20:55 - I'm sure you've done grilled pineapple. If not, well, you'll want to do it for sure. Sliced with a little butter and brown sugar on the grille. Yuuuuuuuuum!
I was downtown saturday and it s still weird to me not seeing Trader John's or Rum Runners down there even after they have been gone for awhile. And palafox not being a 1 way street after Garden still messes with me.
Troll marlette and his mini-troll P_THE_S will hate this. I love this place. I love the American people here. It's an awesome area! Oh, we are the home town for the Blue Angles, however that doesn't matter, Right?
I went to metallica... they need to redo the Civic Center... sadly they don't have room to expand. I need to go to Bailey's... I haven't been since I was little.
Yea the place is looking really dated outside. Seems like they don’t even care of the presence of the parking lot anymore. Weeds and tall grass everywhere.
@@AbomAdventures with the PLANdemic I don't think they had much going on there. They should have still kept up with the outside, the PLANdemic won't last forever. I don't even think the Hilton is even open anymore. It wasn't last time I looked that way.
Come on, we all know the cushion is so that Abby can sit up tall and strong like a big girl... ;) Hope it all heals up soon, not an injury that I would ever like to get again. I got hit and thrown by a car 26 years ago and landed on the road sitting bolt upright. That led to a "fun and interesting" healing time...
Thank you for sharing your wonderful videos I just wanted to ask why nobody is wearing a mask? The easiest way to check a pineapple is pull on the top leaf if it comes out easy you know it is rip I am from a very sad South Africa
For us we enjoy the bumper pull because it frees up the bed of the truck to allow for my storage, especially covered storage when hauling. We also enjoy the mid size trailer Vs the large 5th wheel platform.
@@AbomAdventures thank you. I have a complete rebuild on a 87 150 351 full power. No hitch. Haven’t purchased any living means. yet. . 67 years old. Thank you for sharing
Adam, was that your or your brother that posed for the giant at Bailey's. I'm sure Abby would say you could have been the kind, big and strong, just not green giant.
BACK IN 85 I SLAMMED INTO THE BACK OF A PICKUP ON OLD PALAFOX,FLEW OVER THE TRUCK ,SAW THE THE DRIVER AND WENT DOWN INTO THE TREES STILL ON THE BIKE...FIXED THE BIKE(SORT OF)AND STILL MANAGED TO GET BACK TO THE DRILL RIG ON TIME FOR MY NEXT HITCH...SHORTLY THERE AFTER I ALMOST GOT WHACKED UP IN THE DERRICK...
