To answer your question of "WHAT WAS THAT!?" at 18:57, Pentagon has two b-sides called 'Round 1' and 'Round 2', in which they first diss one another (in pairs) and then diss each other (it's a body swap song essentially, haha). Those are some of the funniest songs you might ever react to, if you do. Also, the song you asked about at 24:05 is Sha la la, one of their best title tracks imo.
Great reaction! I'll drop some links to things you asked about: Music 5:00 For You, a song Hui wrote about being group leader (hence the tears from the members in the audience) performed on a competition show called Breakers ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-f_p4OSi5SpE.html 18:57 Round 2, which is a diss battle track between members (as the title suggests it's the 2nd such track they recorded) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SYeyiwLfdh8.html 21:53 Daisy performance video (they actually have 2 versions but this is the one in the guide / my preference) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LcQYXCTAGh8.html 23:44 Sha La La (aka the only Korean title track you haven't seen; it was their comeback between Naughty Boy and Humph) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ALz4b6x0A70.html Other Stuff 3:45 Behind the scenes of their first win. pentagon will definitely be more than okay with hui gone in the army, wooseok has been co-composing tts with hui and kino is also veryyyy involved in their bsides !
Dont force yourself to choose a bias...destiny will choose for you...but to be honest...there is not such thing a bias within Universe...we love every member the same
People often have a hard time placing Shinwon at first, and it's always funny to me because the further you get into Universe the more you see that he's really the heart of the group in a lot of ways. Honestly he wasn't the first person to stick out to me either, but the more I know him the more I really respect and admire him. Hope you enjoy getting to know him and the rest of Pentagon!! Edit: Oh also, if you wanted to watch the video of them getting their first win, you should definitely afterwards check out their Pentory (behind-the-scenes video series) of that day. It's Pentory #126 I think. Also if you don't mind crying, they did a really raw talk on live that day about fears of disbanding, the physical tolls of performing, etc. and there's a translation on @UNIVERSE TELLS's channel. It's a really honest, touching video. And thanks again for all your Pentagon reactions :)
really? besides hui and wooseok he was the easiest to tell apart when i first started checking out their content! he low key reminds me of kyuhyun from suju when he was young
5:11 this was the final performance for a competition hui was in (breakers) he composed this song for his members. he got second place overall! the song its called “for you” and the lyrics says “there’s a heavy load on my shoulders but for the nine families that trust in me with my shameless determination i’ll never fall. we’ll keep on running, for you.” that’s why the boys were crying, they were really touched by their leader and brother. edit 1: 6:37 so for this he actually had to postpone his enlistment from dec 3rd to feb 18 because of quarantine issues. but we are glad he did because he got to participate in their online concert we l:ve, and in their latest comeback as well. edit 2: 12:37 this was from immortal song, they performed without hui for the first time in a long time because he was busy (its was when he was preparing to enlist, he had a super tight schedule) but they did amazing as always ! edit 3: 16:01 yanan had a hard time in the past, he was often struggling with health issues (most likely mental issues but im not confirming anything) so he spent a long time going on hiatuses and coming back, he struggled a lot that’s why the members truly care about him and often try to get him involved in whatever they have at the moment, pentagon loves yanan so much and i’m glad he’s back healthier and you can see it! he’s doing amazing and is a lot happier! we love him a lot edit 4: 19:55 so in ptg maker they wanted the members to “overcome” their fears in the worst ways possible, for shinwon (he was/is scared of animals because of childhood traumas) they made him go to a pet cafe, and for yuto (he’s scared of the dark, ghosts, scary things in general) he was pranked like this and he almost cried begging them to stop, as a person who’s also scared of the dark i hated mnet for doing this which was so unnecessary for the survival program, and it also didn’t help the boys so :( edit 5: 27:23 so actually yes, and it was worse during road to kingdom. they often had to end in the hospital because they always practice too hard pushing their own limits with barely rest… they put alot of pressure on their shoulders sometimes they can’t handle it :( edit 6: 28:34 this was a tmi bingo game from idolpicknic not sure which episode tho edit7: once again thank you for loving our boys!
@@sefowade6195 thank you! its okay if he doesn’t see it, i feel like there’s a lot of info to digest in one comment, but he’ll get there from time to time! i’m just thankful when people seem so interested in the boys, they deserve the recognition :)
omg i feel like the guide should've mentioned it, but the show they were on ("Pentagon Maker") was really weird: it started with the exact 10 members, and the goal was for all of them to debut together without any eliminated members, so they each had to step up and show their skills in all aspects (i think vocals/rap, dance, teamwork, and two other things...oops). So yeah! They were all there, and they ended up debuting all 10 guys! a really...pointless way to stress them out before debut LMAO
@@HangingGarden606 right! i can't even remember where i watched (i think on dailymotion???) but i remember feeling so sorry for them the whole time, like ... JUST LET THEM DEBUT TOGETHER
@@nva_the_loonarmy Right? I think I watched a few episodes in 7 minutes increments on a Google Drive that I found on a fandom blog. They're my ult group and I still didn't have time for that lmao
4:42 that part of hui going off as a rapper is actually a project group SUPER FIVE he did on a show that released a trot song cuz that's the trend in korea rn, astro's mj was part of it aswell
@@FlagGov Absolutely loved that show. (I have particular fond memories of when they shot the "All Eyes" video and Hyungseok gave MJ the glucose candy to keep him going..! 🤣)
The group indeed have a lot of content to go through. As you saw, Jinho has a series of covers that often feature other members called "Magazine Ho" (temporarily on hiatus cause he's in military), Hongseok also started doing cover series called "Hong season" and Yanan also has a series now called "SINGnematic" where he covers OSTs. Hui also has some covers posted. Kino & Yuto have soundcoulds and post some of their original songs on the Pentagon's youtube channel. Also Yeoone has some solo self-composed stuff plus an ASMR show (but that's rather not for youXD). Besides that there is this little show they have called "Pentory" which is basically a compilation of behind the scenes stuff and their daily shenanigans but also them doing some other projects and playing games. Sometimes the members also do live streams on youtube and play games.
18:50 this is Round 2, a bonus track on their sum(m:er) album. It's the second of their bonus diss tracks, the first being Round 1 from Genie:us. Univers is really hoping for a Round 3 but the boys want it to be an OT9 song, so who knows when we'll get it ㅠ_ㅠ
Love your reactions! You should check out individual guides of the members from the channel Pentgu! They don’t have all the member guides out yet (since they resent put these guides out so they are up to date too!) but it would be great to see you react to the member guides individually and get to know them better and more than before :D Once again truly love your pentagon reactions :)💙
"That was the least urban thing I've ever heard in my life" almost made me do a spit take. Edit: I'm not sure if Wooseok was making a reference to this, but I have heard multiple idols recount visiting the hospital for IV drip treatment, whether it be due to malnutrition/dehydration/general exhaustion. These idols get pushed to their absolute limits man, shitty reality of the industry over there.
whoops- i deleted my commented instead of editing it so here i go again: my name’s Julie, so when Yanan suddenly wrote a song for/about me, it was so heartwarming🤧😂 hahahah so chaotic but we loove it. also since u pointed out round 2, i’m probably gonna request round 1 & 2 for my patreon request cause they are MUST sees!! basically diss tracks about eachother/themselves
If you have the time, you should watch the individual guides to the members from YT user Pentagu. They're all about 30 minutes long, so they're for sure longer than what you usually do, but they're worth it, even if you do it on your personal time. PS: Pentagon Maker has so many issues it's a freaking subscription. Mnet is evil :( Still, there are some amazing skits and performances. PPS: You probably know this already, but that Hui rap is from one of his songs with his trot group, Super Five. They were created through a tv show called Favorite Entertainment last year, there's a clip of their other song, Hello, there as well.
As others have mentioned, the clips of Hui rapping are from his stint as leader of Super Five, a project trot group formed in the show Favorite Entertainment (add it to your watch list, it's brilliant). They released a double single, Hello, and All Eyes on Me: here's the video for the latter... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tC-dBkbMkFk.html
Cube have absolute cash machines in Hui and Soyeon as self producing group leaders. that makes it so that they have to invest so much less in the groups not havign to pay for songs to be made by outside companies
The part near the end where they say Hui is strong in his bank account is a long running joke wherein they tease him for being rich with song royalties.
Thank you for your reaction, if you dont mind, can you check their bside round 1 and round 2, this is really describe how close they are, in this song they dissing each other but the fun fact that song still BOP and catchy 😂, or you can watch they variety idol workshop or idol house really fun to watch and also chaos, they have so many interesting content on they official channel the great one is they make special video when they start produce do or not from hui and wooseok found the theme and lyric and wooseok as direct recording you can see how cool they produce song.
Korean pple did dirty to pentagon many times. Not only they didnt get any win in music shows, we can also see the immortal song, breakers, road to kingdom, King of Masked Singer n more. Its so obvious they being bias to others when pentagon involved !! I feel really really weird. R they tasteless????
aaah that "random" video with Yoojung and Eunkwang is a Dive studio podcast with Kino and Astro's Jinjin as hosts called Unboxing. There are 12 episodes and they had various guests from their own members to Woodz and Monsta X IM. I HIGHLY recommend you to watch this serie their hosting skills is no joke and it's such a fun and soothing podcast!!
Btw, if you want some concise but quality crack pentagon content, theres a 8 min "Pentagon being a chaotic mess during Do or Not era" video by 'stan pentagon' thats quite funny :)
He was not expected to debut with EXO, he made that clear in his last interview before enlisting (it's an interview with a chef, it's on youtube), we was about to debut in a group before EXO, but the project did not debut, so he left from SM Entertainment... He's awesome, I consider Jinho one of the best vocals, not just in kpop.
12:40 that pfomnce at immortal song 2 they cover "love rain" wtout jinho, Hui. Also the song tht u asked in wooseok's part is "sha la la". Its really a great song n one of my favorite as well
Im so confuse. I thought yr bias is kino, but u love yeoone's voice so much. Then u mention wooseok is yr bias. Haha. Nvm, universe also cant choose bias properly bc all of them r fun, cute, hilarious. Anyway I really love yr reaction
Ahhh this is beautiful, I really loves pentagon and dont worry for pick a bias. They picke you one day, and another day another member will pick you xD thats my daily life, I believe that im a proud Hui biased but they attack me everytime, so the final results is being a ptg biased 💜💜is more healthy, funny and hard for your heart with this boys. I really love them, if you wanna check it out more, I recomend you to listen some of their bsides, they have great great music 💜💜💜
actually, he isn't... they have mentioned multiple times that they didn't want to choose a temporary leader while Hui is "gone", so Hui is still the leader of Pentagon
@@Jaehyuns_Dimples yeah, hui did mention smth about hyunggu being the leader, but then this one clarified in a live/radio show? (i don’t remember) that he didn’t want to take the lead
Yeah I've seen a lot of people confused about this since they've talked about it different ways in different context. My sense is they did not designate anyone as temporary leader, but that Kino is sort of de facto leader since he is already in charge of running their practices, produces a lot of music, and is VERY vocal about his opinions.
