The Pentagon on Monday formally released three unclassified videos taken by Navy pilots that have circulated for years showing interactions with 'unidentified aerial phenomena'.

jokes aside, it's a seagull or other bird. You can tell by the size (clear from doing some basic geometry using the numbers on the computer overlay and the dot which marks the position of the plane relative to target object ) and the lock on box borders that move due to the flapping motion of the wings. The temperature difference is caused by the air temperature being colder at an altitude than the surface of the water, and the feathers are insulating the bird's body heat. It looks very fast because of the gimbal camera and parallax. Sorry to disapoint.

One of the pilots or maybe it was someone from the navy, anyway, they claim to see this kind of stuff more often than you'd imagine. So it wasn't really anything new. I think the guy in the video I saw a while ago said that they'd been around more frequently at the time but I could be wrong, didn't bother to look into it since no one was talking about it at the time.
