Why show up to a military press conference expecting complete transparency in regards to tactics and hypothetical actions/reactions? Any slip-up of critical information, the media will run with it to be the first to report it, EVEN if it resulted in lost lives of U.S. troops or tactical advantages to the enemy.

it wasn’t just secret military operations. He was unclear about - ISIS threats to allegedly allied nations, like Kurdistan. Disputes over Kirkuk. - announced military operations, like the transit of forces to the CENTCOM theater and support for Ukraine. There were also legitimate questions about partially secret operations: - hostilities with Iran. A question about striking Iran directly, he pretends to be confused, and then interrupts the question and moves on. He doesn’t provide any answer to the following 3 questions either. Gives the same answer to the next two, “our policy has not changed.” Does not answer the next question, about Afghanistan. The refusal to answer questions of this nature is a bad sign.

I suppose when talking with the press you are also talking to the countries who are causing the problems, so nothing can really be said without giving away protective information that would benefit the problem countries in terms of advancement or defense.
Why watch a military briefing if you're going to get upset when they state they can't answer specific questions regarding ongoing operations etc.? Do you go to McDonalds during lunch and yell at them for having a McDonalds menu? This is a "you" problem.

I have an idea. Since we are giving billions of dollars to Ukraine and we are wanting to know as tax payers what we are supporting. Can we have a press conference with the Ukrainians who can give an actual answer?
tax payer money is going to new military gear. Ukrainians are only getting old gear that is due for decommissioning, which costs us money to do. No amount of tax payer money is actually going to Ukraine. So, by committing older military gear to Ukraine, we help them protect themselves: The US made a promise to Ukraine in 1994 / Budapest memorandum.

I think the American people expect you to answer our questions. The General continues to state we, the American People funding Ukraine defense, to ask Ukraine… How about no more money till you can “read out” ANYTHING of actual interest to the American people. Stop leaving billions of dollars worth of weapons in various countries, destabilizing them with reckless behavior. Those weapons eventually get used against us and others. Meanwhile, you funnel taxpayer money to military contractors all while millions of people are homeless here. Those tax dollars should be invested in productive growth, not in attempts to destroy and conquer. Your actions are causing unnecessary suffering for millions of people here at home and abroad.

Consider focusing on addressing the challenges at home instead of trying to impose democracy where it might not be necessary. It’s time to prioritize resolving issues within your own borders before intervening in distant regions?
