PENTAGON : THE TIMELINE 

HIIII ok so this is an improved one year old draft..... this was my first shot at the ptg group guide i uploaded last year and i decided to complete it over the course of the past months with a focus on the boys' journey!! if the dynamic changes or if it ever seems off that's because i dropped it and picked it back up a lot ^_^ i already have spotted errors and inaccuracies as i rewatched but i hope you enjoy it 🫶 no matter what's coming in the future for pentagon i want to keep their moments compiled on the channel as an archive and i really like making documentary-like type of content...... this was just an excuse to get my creative juices flowing tbh

'everyone agrees that debuting is something really special, but what was most special to us is that we could debut together, the ten of us.' i remember the uncertainty of pentagon maker; shinwon being eliminated midway and hyojong and yanan not completing their pentagram, and therefore not qualifying to debut in the final line up. i remember reading that hongseok and hui and someone else went up to the directives to beg for them to debut together regardless of the results of the show; i remember shinwon mentioning here and there how he was treated after being eliminated, and how he refused to give up because deep down he knew it was those 9 other dudes for him. i remember how 'fate' has been brought up under different lights along the year, as they face new hardships and find that, ultimately, even if they grow and learn and 'do better' in the future, 'fate' is 'them'. after pentagon maker, the eliminated trainees were given the chance to get back into the lineup by performing in front of the staff one last time. cube wasn't 100% satisfied, but because (i assume) the boys insistence that they stick together, as well as the support they already had thanks to the show, they reconsidered and gave them their very last chance: make X number of fans attend their debut showcase, and they were in. and still, there were difficulties: the showcase had to be postponed, and i personally don't remember if the number required had been reached or not; i only knew that i could breathe again because the members were ten again, no matter the details. (and i remember the fancafe posts and the things they said at the beginning, too: shinwon, who always signed off saying he was lacking and insufficient but that he was working hard and trying his best. hongseok, who almost cried when a fan told him that he really fit the team, because he had been heavily criticized for 'not fitting' before, hui, who learned how to be the best leader and hyung, and who always gives his 120% to everything and thinks about what's best for pentagon. yanan, shy and unsure about his korean, struggling to express himself to the fans and struggling because he wanted to rely less on his members. kino, who didn't cry and always showed a strong and composed image. oh, pentagon, how far you have come. how confident you are. how open to the world, how loving and how lovingly. the trust you have in each other and in yourselves and in yourselves as a team). as everyone else, i go into groups expecting to be entertained; i like discovering groups whose music and personalities and shenanigans i enjoy. i like watching their dynamics and i appreciate hard work like the next fan. and yet, with pentagon it has been a completely different journey. it's not only about the laughter, the wins and hardships, the support i will always, unconditionally, give them. it's about slowly realizing how precious and valuable they are as people to me, how much i take and learn from their work ethics and their friendship and their confidence and their music and everything in between. it's about how i am inspired every day by pentagon to love the world a little more, to challenge myself even if it's scary, to be softer and stronger and happier. thank you for this incredible documentary that puts into words and image everything that i can never say when someone broughts up this team and i want to scream at the top of my lungs how much i love them and how much they mean to me. your videos always cheer me up and truly reafirm the feeling that i am in this pentagon shit forever, no matter how uncertain the future is, because i have an unwavering trust in the bond they, and us, have.

Can't believe I got to watch this for free. Pentagu Uni is a gifted storyteller who understands each member. You saw their hearts and made sure the world understands their words as well as their tears. The way you put together this beautiful feature tells the story of how our PENTAGON's love for music is supreme, transcending kpop's penchant for breaking records for breaking records' sake. Whether life imitates art, or art life, Universe knows that life isn't life with her PENTAGON - that at the end of the day, PENTAGON and UNIVERSE are brought together by their love for music, and that is the purest form of love there could be this side of heaven.

how are you so good at pacing these,, the fact this is fanmade really shows your appreciation and our appreciation as other fans for them🥺 idk if this was intended but one thing i really enjoyed watching this is shinwon somehow narrating this entire journey like a story. he really is the core of pentagon and hearing how he sees his and the team's progress through his lens is so so interesting and unique ! tysm again for the great work

With all the uncertainties and the collective anxiety due to current circumstances, I can't possibly explain how much comfort this documentary has given me. If the tagonies were able to hold on for this long and against so many challenges, I'm sure Universe will be able to do so too. I believe in them, and I believe in us.

Thank you for always giving us such masterpieces I love the documentary style im only 5 mins in but I can already tell how much work you've put in and you deliver every time. It's so hard to encapsulate pentagon in this way because they and each member are so beautiful and complex but you manage to do it justice every time! I think we all needed this cause things have been a lil rough lately 😭 I'm sure pentagon would be proud ik unis definitely are! 🥹

It is like you are telling their lifestory that showed their beginning, progress, hardships, good understanding and successes. It also felt like making people know the real Pentagon. As I am a hardcore universe i really love how i always find something new in the videos like new clips, images and audios. The past couple of days were getting hard for me but seeing this cinematography also conveyed a massage to me. Thank u so much Pentagu. I really love the videos you make about Pentagon and the videos always create an ambience around me that is something special about PENTAGON. ❤❤❤

I started watching this last night and got emotional, like, less than one minute in. Thank you so much for this incredibly well put together video. It really feels like a documentary. The amount of thought and brain power that goes into collecting and assembling so much, and then the work process… wow, I’m completely in awe. It’s so beautifully made, and I think you managed to incorporate all members’ thoughts and experiences in a very beautiful way. I personally really like how it almost feels like a loop, opening with Shinwon asking himself what kind of legacy he’ll leave behind, and then closing with how he’s always curious about that iffy tomorrow and the future ❤ I actually really loved that. Opening with wondering what things will look like after they happen and closing with continuing to future uncertainties with curiosity.
