Pentair Intelliflo pumps, Programing and features 

Sad (but great) Pentair’s lack of user friendliness forces me to watch and relearn programming every spring… (the great part is kudos to this video. Appreciate you every year!!!

Couldn't believe my Pentair pump control panel could be any more confusing until I saw this previous model. An "X" for "select"? Whose idea was that? Congratulations to the presenter for making some sense of it.

When my Pentair variable speed pump was installed about 3 years ago, there was only one sketchy RU-vid video about it. Finally, someone come up with a "how to" video in real time. I tried printing out the programming instructions from the manual, but it might as well have been in Greek (or maybe Chinese). Thank you!

You should not have to resort to videos to attempt to program these pumps when it is the change of seasons. Honestly- Pentair- shame on you. Thank you for doing this video- and glad to see I am not the only one dealing with this thing upside down.

Excellent, fast and to the point. I have a new Intelliflo with version 2.x firmware so my buttons don't quite match yours but straight forward. Page 15 of the manual also describes SCHEDULE settings.

Man, I was struggling with the directions and and other videos on the scheduling until you explained how it works with the manual buttons (1-4) This is the best video on this subject. Thanks for sharing.

Bought a home with this pump and could not find any good videos and User Manual online is/was a little confusing.....but I found this one...I know its old but man this saved the day. Thank you.

Thank you. Love the pump, but the control panel is very difficult to use for the homeowner who only needs to change things once or twice a year. It's great once it is setup. BTW - thanks for the info about the watts, I will have to see how mine is setup to make sure I am not wasting electricity by running it too fast when I could run it slower for longer.

I am keeping you on my sort of speak, "You Tube SPEED DIAL"...I have no idea really on my speeds min and max, so I am going to do yours, important thing for me is to get this thing up and running, it has been installed (used), for 2 months and not yet programmed. This is going to help so much, cant thank you enough!!

Going over to my neighbors house who has this pump and is having difficulty with programming. After watching this video , I should be able to program it for him. Thanks for the video. I think Pentair could do a better job in the programming of this motor. It seems like a PITA to me.

I just bought a house and it had this pump. it works awesome.

What speed is required to keep the flow switch closed? The flow switch must be closed for the salt system to run and make chlorine. I'm having my salt system show no flow at 2000 RPM and below.

I learned with this video. Thanks Know question I have a pump that every time i go for maintenance, it resets by itself. Schedule stays the same but the clock changes time? What could it be?

My question is regarding 'Spa' pump vs 'Pool' pump, specifically what/how to program the 'Spa' pump, since all the schedules I set seem to fire off with the 'Pool' pump green (ie: ON in the phone app). I can manually activate the 'Spa' pump from the app (our spa is embedded in pool corner). Are there any specific program settings to be mindful of, regarding 'Spa' pump?

Hi, great video, I have 2 STA-RITE IntelliPro Variable Speed Programmable Pump that were install in 2014. I use "Set Time" to set the IntelliPro system time. The system clock is suppose to store the correct time for up to 96 hours after power is shut off or before a reset is needed. When the clock reaches 12am it stops and the pumps do not come on as scheduled because the clock is not working. I have to go in manually each day and reset the system clock. Thoughts, suggestions? Thank you

Great video. Just got a pool with this pump system, and this video helped a lot. Only odd thing is that, for some reason, I have the urge to see if I can get the pump to latch on correctly to my man boob for proper flow.

how come my control panel doesn't look like yours. it doesn't have 1, 2,3,4 on top it says filter mode on left and manual on the right. I can't remember what the 2 buttons in middle say?

We have this pump for both the pool and spa. How do you turn on the pump and what buttons do you select to use with the spa?

thanks for the video, whats the recommend rpm for a 10k gal pool using this system?(btw model is 160301 filter model is CCP420), I heard varied speed pump has the advantage to do different rpm speed setting so it's more efficient and cost saving as well.

I have a control panel inside the house but the panel light goes out but the pump does not shut off. There is no program in the pump itself? Any ideas. I have an i5 panel

When I turn my pump on that has the same key pad model as your great video. But I’m getting an “error 01” message and it won’t allow the pump to turn on (nothing just clicks and shuts off). Do you have any suggestions? I’ve reset and killed the power for a few days to be sure it wasn’t overheating. I spoke with the manufacturer but they were no help and I have read over the manual. I’m located in south scottsdale, sounds like you mentioned you were in Phoenix. Thank you kindly for any advice.

Hello, great videos easy to understand thank you. I like to ask you a question on the speed of the pump. My pool is 25,000 gallons, can you tell me the best speed to run in and for how long. The pool service company keeps telling me if I run it at a low speed for a longer period of time the pool water is not being filtered. They recommend running it at a high speed for 6 Hours and for some reason the water still looks a little dirty and at times it starts building yellow algae. Can you help me out with any information thank you?.

What should rpm be with old school plumbing of 2 inch inlet and 2 inch outlet? Into a cartidge de pentair quad 60. Is 2300 too high?

Easy to follow you. The manual is a nightmare. Lol Question: what is the nickel sized black cap on the side for. I found mine had fallen off. Air blows out of the fitting and I don't know whether the cap is supposed to be left on (capped) or off (uncapped)

I have an Intelliflo that was installed in spring of ‘23. Is there any difference in programming that one? Or is this video appropriate instruction for my pump as well. ? My max speed is 3050 rpm. I do not want it running at that Power constantly. I’m goi g to bring this video with me back to the pump & HOPEFULLY figure out how to set it

What is the difference between setting one of the 1-8 Speed options or setting one of the Program 1-4 options? I have our pump set up with two scheduled timers. For some reason our pump keeps defaulting to a ‘Program 4’ that shows a specific rpm and :01 time (which is not the Speed 4 setup!). If I push one of the Speed button setups it selects and changed, but then the screen bounces back to this Program 4 setup within seconds. I have no idea why the pump has suddenly decided to do this. This Program 4 setting will not turn off at all (unless I power off the entire pump)! Help!

My pump runs only for about 15 minutes on quick clean. I’ve tried several (many) times to find a way to increase the time. 2 questions; how do I increase the run time and what’s an appropriate amount of time? pS: I’m in Arizona.

My controller won’t come on after a storm cannot get the pump to run. I can turn on the lights and control panel comes on. I turn the pump on and the goes red but the pump doesn’t turn on? They checked and the controller on the pump has power. It was disabled before the storm and all the programming was from the control panel. So pump won’t come on and controller is off? Please help me how to get this back up and running. Thank you

When my pump starts, priming is 1800 RPM and the wattage is around 600, those priming readings at the end are crazy !

How many max rpm should it be at for a pool 16000 gallons?

We started using a new pool guy a couple of months ago and my electric bill has gone through the roof. I have solar so I should be paying a little to nothing to the electric company and this past month my bill was over $300. He claims the pool pump is running for nine hours but I hear it coming on twice a day. I have this pool pump timer and the dial timer and I’m not sure if he has them both set or what but I need help resetting everything.
