You really need to do their live PBS version. of, Seasons of Love. Kirstie absolutely goes off on this. With her runs and whistle notes. She's Amazing.
I've seen them live last night and oh man it was an awesome show...you're right, they "Bangin'" it. Oh, still picturing the show in my head. Great reaction, see you soon.
I just love how they have fully embraced their true voices. They were always amazing and breathtaking but ever since Christmas Around The World they have reached their true selves. Mitch sings higher, Scott has Grit, Kirstie belts better than Mariah, Matt is buttery smooth and Kevin is just evolved to full beast mode. No other Acapella group can touch them.
Great Job (truly exceptional version....a got another for you from Pentatonix...from way back in their careers is a video of them doing "Hark the Herald, the Angels Sung" try a live version (Roxy Club). AMAZING !!!!!!!
Never saw Batman movies and never really remembered hearing this song except maybe in passing . I definitely would listen to this on repeat over and over. Can't compare who did it better as I don't think I know what Seal's version sounded like. I think this cello of Kevin's is named Jay-Z. Apropos😁😃😉 Great request Jamie, marvelous reaction as always guys. Thanks so much. Peace and Blessings to all.
Another Pentaholic told me that Kevin's Electric Cello is actually named Jay-Z but I don't have a source other than that. For that matter, how many Cellos does Kevin actually own? IS Beyonce his first acoustic Cello when he was at Yale or was she upgraded and did the name follow? I wanna know and I don't know why.
I just realized that you guys missed the best ever Christmas cover of "O Holy Night"...as good as "Kiss From A Rose" was, this might exceed that. You missed this during the season, but still worth doing now !! " ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DbCasvcNx78.htmlsi=fyQ7eLymQvD7VL_9"
This was also on the 1995 Batman Forever soundtrack. One of the last Batman movies I've ever watched.😅. It is a good cover of the song. I'd say better than the original although I never been a huge fan of the song in general. 😁
I am obsessed with Kirstie's boots. How she can walk in platform boots with a 4-6 inch heel so gracefully blows my mind. I'd be tripping over Kevin's cord every time I walked by. It is an amazing rendition.
Scott is a foot taller than Kirstin; she wears heels to compensate. Mitch is only about 5 inches shorter than Scott, but he does the same thing. I saw a video of Mitch and Kirstin talking about heels. Kirstin said she'd seen a video of Mitch going through an airport in heels, which she would never do, and Mitch told her that it was just the one time; he'd learned his lesson. Then Mitch told Kirstin that he worries that Kirstin's heels will cause her to fall when they have to walk down a ramp, because they make her lean over too far. Since seeing that I've noticed that whenever I see a video of PTX walking down a ramp Mitch usually grabs Kirstin's arm, to give her a bit of support. As for tripping over the power cord, I'd probably do that in flats.
I’m still trying to figure out Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” being counted as a Christmas song. The guy was Jewish. The imagery in the song all comes from the Hebrew Bible.
@@b-six-twelve. Pretty sure all that stuff’s in the “Christian Bible” as well…if Die Hard can consistently make list upon list as one of the top 2 or 3 Christmas movies, then Hallelujah can be a Christmas song…lol
@@timcaldwell5241 That's terrible logic. Die Hard is considered a Christmas movie by some because it happens at Christmas. Samson and Delilah and David and Bathsheba don't happen at Christmas because Jesus hadn't even been born.
@@b-six-twelve good point. I can’t tell you why they put it on a Christmas album except to say like “Amazing Grace”, they also count songs of inspiration in the same category as a holiday song.
😊❤ I love how Kevin's high note literally threw you both back in your chairs!! First was the look of shock then huge smiles!! Loved it 😅❤ Yeah, I think Kevin stole the show this time! He plays that electric cello like a rock star!! And he beat boxes and sings!! All of them were having a fantastic day with this one!! Thanks guys!! 😊❤❤
Good evening, gentlemen! I really enjoy your Pentatonix reactions! I’m going to see their concert tomorrow night in Orlando and I am extremely excited! It’s been a while since they’ve come back to my hometown and I got seats on the floor level about 8 rows from the stage! That’s probably the closest Mitch slap that I will ever get.
Kiss from a Rose is just mind blowing! They never cease to amaze me!! Please react to their merge of Pure Imagination with Christmas Time Is Here is awesome! They seamlessly weave these two songs together and it is absolutely Beautiful! Love your reactions! ❤🎉🎄
How is it possible that they keep getting better? What a good job they all did - and then there’s Kevin! Loved your reactions, as always, my thanks to Jamie too. Peace …
In March 2015 Kevin tweeted Correction: my electric cello will be called "Mr. Carter" aka Jay-Z on account of my mom likes that name better than just Jay-Z
who can out sing/perform ptx? ptx naturally. pls react to kevin's fifth and tyhe nmasup of pure imasgination/it's xmas time. willy wonka meets charlie brown
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯This is my favorite cover now! I have listened to it well over 100 times and it never gets old. Just absolutely sublime and perfect. No one can touch PTX. ❤💚
Didn't check your past reactions, but if you haven't done it yet, check out Prayers for this World - released last year. Another epic release from PTX.
Kirstie - All right boys...voices and cello up, Mitch - LoOove remains - MiniMitchSlap Scott - Blue Eyed Soul Dragon Drive-by Matt - Renames song 'Falsetto from a Bass' Kevin - "Hold my bow".. "BaaaaBYY!!!!".... Note all of the members except Kevin just might have a greater connection with this song than they know....we would have to ask their parents. This was some serious baby making music in the 90s....
Speaking of Christmas, I checked and couldn't find "Mary Did You Know" in your Playlist. It has over 300 million views, one of Pentatonix best Christmas covers. I'd love to see your reaction to it.
Great group! You've got to check out Home Free, Man of Constant Sorrow. Great beatboxer. You'll appreciate the group, i assure you. End of the Road is another one to listen too.
This is a live recording, meaning they sang into the microphone live, there was no lip syncing whatsoever. The mics has some effects on them, but it doesn't invalidate that it was sang live. The fact that there wss no audience also doesn't mean it wasn't live. I don't get how this isn't obvious. You just have to hear the their breaths.
They are unreal! They’ll go down in history on an unprecedented level in music. They may not be “mainstream” but they should be! Kevin just blew my mind! They all did really
