This was written by Avi and Kevin, with input from Mitch on his part. The two of them, who then and still consider themselves brothers, wrote and arranged quite a few pre-2017 PTX pieces, such as “Run to You”.
Love love this song. We Pentaholics ( a very huge community) love any pentatonix reactions and appreciate you. You can check out their live performance " popspring performance 2016" . Quite lengthy as it is - I think- 4 songs. Was in Japan. Greetings from South Africa
One of my favorite early originals! For a variety: Coffee in Bed (original), Can’t Hold Us (rap cover), Mad World (serious, slow), New Rules x Are You That Somebody (mashup). Your voice sounds fine. Looking forward to more PTX 😊
If you want to compare this to a live version ( done during an interview in their dressing room before a show !) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GyRiez6UKAI.html . They rarely perform this one live anymore as the Mongolian throat singing Kevin used was straining his voice .
Their originals are all fantastic! Some are catchier than others, but all age great in their own rights. If you ever get a chance to see them live..... TAKE IT! They are better live. The energy is ridiculous!
Yay, you chose an original! As always, loved your reaction. They delved deep into make-up and wardrobe for a couple of songs early on, sort of a post-apocalyptic, dystopian vibe! For another boogie experience, check out their ‘90s Dance Medley. Thanks for keeping up with PTX, and never mind any blurring that may have to occur. It’s pretty much inevitable. And no, you’re not screaming! Peace …
Great reaction. I believe the reason PTX is liked by so many professional Metal artists, singers and fans are the same reasons they are so appreciated by Opera singers, music voice coaches, EDM, rock, country, pop ( including J and Kpop) everyone that is into top quality music. Their harmonies are lovely and their bass and Beatboxer are sublime ( and all of them can do some percussion like the wind breaths, bell tones, claps etc) They are willing to try their spin on a wide variety of genres and their genius is also in their arrangements and presentation They give respect to the originals while putting their unique result. I have see an interview where they discussed they even cover where people are going to breath on songs where they all sing the entire song. If they didn’t discuss this they could all breath at the same time and there would be silence. They work together like 5 parts of a bigger machine and each decision on who sings what is based on what is best for the song For originals the PopSpring 2016, they do 3 originals and the Michael Jackson Evolution live. Their medleys and evolutions are known for their harmonies and transitions. I also like originals Sing and Run to You For covers Mad World, Imagine, Sound of Silence, The Prayer and Favorite Things. Or just randomly pick a song ( like it or not) and see what they do with it) The rabbit hole is deep and I have never heard a bad song from them ever
Thanks for being so open-minded to PTX and their creative genius. I know this isn't necessarily the jonre of music that you grew up jammin' to. But at least you have the open-mindedness and ear-quality to recognize that you're listening to some extremely talented and unique artists. I'm pretty sure that this is my first reaction to your channel. So without further ado, welcome to PTX. Their rabbit-hole is almost endless. Also, they do a pretty nice cover of 'Kiss By A Rose' originally written and performed by the artist known as 'Seal'. Don't know if the name 'Seal' means anything to you as I don't know which generation you grew up in. But I assume that 'Heavy Metal' is in the picture. But that's my recommendation if you want to hear a little edginess from them. The 'Vevo' live performance of this is best. And, there is one instrument in this performance - the cello, played by their beatboxer, Kevin, who is the most musically 'all-around' talented in the group in my opinion. He does this thing that he calls cello-boxing where he beat-boxes and plays the cello at the same time. It's insane. Anyway, I'm sure you've already been informed about 'Einstein Kevin'. But check this song out if you're interested in something a little harder by them. Peace.
This is a private performance for the Daft Punk Medley, it was performed in a green room with NO microphones or any other electronics, it was recorded on a cell phone, btw this was performed as part of the Make a Wish Foundation. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tw4YCsHXKgI.html This will show you just what they are capable of and what is the studio effects.
I think of this song as "PTX auditions as the Star Wars cantina band!" This was the PTX follow-up to their Daft Punk video, which I think helps explain the makeup and costumes to some extent. If you'd like to hear/see a version of this without any of the post-production values, there's an interview PTX did where they performed the song live for the reporter, just standing together and singing. It's actually easier to watch the individual performances if you want, since it doesn't have all of the fast cuts that the official video has. The mix isn't great, because they were just using the reporter's overhead boom mike to record, but it's still pretty amazing! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GyRiez6UKAI.html
Please wear the headphones while reacting to the group “BOSTON” More Than A Feeling Foreplay/Longtime Peace of Mind Rock & Roll Band Smokin Hitch A Ride
Hello, *Metal Lens Reviews* Ever thought about reacting to an all female band that dresses up in maid outfits? Well there is this band out of Japan called *BAND-MAID* and I really think you might enjoy their music cause I really do. Do you mind reacting to their song *REAL EXISTENCE (Official Live Video)* because you only live you get it.... Well I wish you all the best on your channel and hope to see a *BAND-MAID* reaction in the near future. 😊
I see what you mean you guys were write. When listening to all of the acapella groups including Pentatonix home free voice play and the Basking you need to use headphones. That being said you need to use them when your reacting to other groups as well because they too have subtleties in different layers that you're missing. To Me music critic who doesn't use hit a headphones when reacting or critiquing the music is like a food critic who faces their critique on the final product but never eats it. You're not getting all the information you're not getting all the flavors pun intended
