Hi Amanda, We don’t care about the sounds from the neighbors, we all have them. We just want you, our prolix Pentaholic pixie in pigtails. Thank you for sharing
Kevin is actually a tenor, and is known for the beauty of his falsetto. When someone asks Kirstin and Mitch which of them can sing higher they tend to look at each other, shrug, and say "Maybe Kevin?" I recommend watching Kevin's KOver of Marian Hill's version of "Down": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IGjg193h4Ok.html Also, you'll like "The Kevin Show/Kevin's Fifth"; this is a live feed from a Pentatonix concert in Owensboro, Kentucky, Kevin's home town: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DbCasvcNx78.html
The highest voice you're hearing in the background is actually Kevin carrying the high notes. I hope you can relisten and you can hear the difference between Mitch and Kevin. Love your reactions! But missing your partner LOL!!!
Pentatonix frequently just hires someone to handle visuals, or contracts it out; that's how they ended up with that gorgeous set for "The Prayer." But in other songs the visuals have special meaning for them, or for the song. For instance, in "Bohemian Rhapsody" the moving couch, the view of the night sky near the end, the four shooting stars, and the five of them sprawled on the couch all had special meanings. And in "Imagine," well, you've only reacted to a live performance of "Imagine." You really should check out the official video. "Imagine" is one of the very few songs that Pentatonix can't perform as well live as they did in the official video, because part of the message is visual and had to be done electronically in post-production; it can't be duplicated live. And that is such an integral and important part of the video that it HAD to be entirely their idea.
Wait you don't know if its Kevin or Matt doing the low bass lines....you do know Matt is the Bass of the group sometime shared with Scott....sorry I can be sarcastic sometimes...my bad
