Perfect reaction! Haha. Loooove when Scott does his more gritty voice. He's so versetile. He can do this, he can do classical baritone (like in the prayer), soul/rnb like Marvin Gaye. He can do it all. They all killed it and it's arranged so well! So dramatic, in the best way.

Kevin's cello is named Beyonce. Since Scott and Bram (producer/arranger) discovered Kevin online doing "cello-boxing" it's not surprising they wanted to give him opportunities to show his instrumental skills.

Loved your review and enthusiasm. I was wondering if you have heard the cover "LOST ON YOU" with Scott Hoying and Mario Jose? You will never see Scott give more emotion in a song like he does here!!!

Thank you for reacting to this beautiful Pentatonix video. They are amazing. I love watching Kevin play too. You can tell that he loves what he does and he can really make his cello sing. The fact that he can beatbox while playing the cello is very impressive to me.

Kevin playing the cello and beatboxing at the same time blows my mind, to focus on a melody and a beat at the same time seems impossible. I'm sure in the studio he records each separately but seeing his talents in other videos I'm not so sure he doesn't do both at the same time.

He does both at the same time. He calls it celloboxing and that’s how Scott Hoying found him for Pentatonix.

@@df5199 Although I'm sure he records each separately just so they can adjust levels for each in the final version as Kev's beatboxing is quite bassy and pronounced in studio versions whereas in live performances it can sound a bit more subdued IMO. I know he can do both at once though.

Kevin, beat boxer and Cellist created the form of music known as cello boxing. That's how he was found to help form PTX. He played Cello at Carnegie Hall as a teenager...Yale Medical school, speaks Mandarin dude is just one of those. Great reaction u2!!

Scott has a great soulful voice. Many people have commented that he should do rock songs or a CD of Motown remakes. I would love to hear him do Motown.

The point of Pentatonix was to create great music. They show you the instrument(s) in the videos when they use them, so they don't hide the use of the cello, violin or piano.
