Flew from TX with my 70 year old mom to California to go to this concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Hands down the best concert I have ever been to. They were absolutely amazing 🤩🤩🤩 I hope you check out more from this show 🥰
Me and my family were at the Hollywood Bowl concert too. First ever concert for my boys. We had seats that were not close to the stage at all, but the sound clarity was amazing. We could hear every single note. It was the best! ❤️
What was always so hard for me to believe when I first discovered PTX, was not only were there no instruments, but all of those sounds were coming from only FIVE people! At times it seems there a whole choir and orchestra playing up there!
There are a couple of things about the Sept. 2022 concert at the Hollywood Bowl that just amaze me. This is the first concert that Pentatonix performed in 2022 for their Christmas Spectacular tour, and it was amazing how well it went, since they hadn't toured since the end of 2021. The second thing is that Kirstie had her first child almost exactly 3 months prior to the concert, and she looked and sounded fabulous! Her pregnancy was a large part of the reason for them not touring earlier in the year, but everyone was on point and performing like there hadn't been a break at all. BTW: Mile Reuben's channel (where this video is from) has videos of a number of the songs performed at the Hollywood Bowl concert, and generally there isn't a problem with reacting to those videos - so take a look at his channel and see if there's anything else you want to watch.
Anything from this concert is stunning- yes they are always mind-blowing. I recommend 90’s Dance Medley from this concert. Next the official vids for Amazing Grace and their original Love Again pretty please with sweet tea on top! 😁💜
Now that you have heard them live, you should go back and listen to their official video. You can tell how much their voices have matured in the interim. Both are great, just slightly different.

The Five Faces of New Pentaholics 1. The most common is the Mitch Slapped. Commonly found when Mitch is heard for the first time in Hallelujah, The Prayer, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, and doing Aha! at the Star Vista. 2. The Wide Eyed Look of Disbelief. Normally found when you hear their Wall of Sound. Found when listening to Mary Did You Know, Imagine, Amazing Grace, The Prayer and Mad World. 3. The I Didn’t Want It to End face. Most commonly found after listening to the 90s Dance Medley. It can also be found after listening to all their medleys and evolutions. 4. The Teary Eyed Look. This is commonly found when listening to an emotional song of theirs or just the sheer beauty of their work. Commonly found when listening to Mary Did You Know, Hallelujah, Amazing Grace, Imagine, The Prayer, Prayers for This World and most especially Thank You. 5. The What Did I Just Hear Face. Happens when Pentatonix starts strong, or when you hear a really special note or Kevin sound. Is usually accompanied by rewinding the video or song to make sure your ears really heard what they heard. Those times are too many to list, but the most common rewind at the start moment is the beginning of Sound of Silence.
Hummanizing...love it! It's incredible that they can produce the same level of performance live as they do with a professional recording that has been carefully engineered, balanced, and enhanced. Obviously they have great sound technicians working their concerts that help balance their sound, but they are standing there singing live. They are completely exposed, and they never falter.
Speaking of Happy Songs, please react to "Happy Now", one of their originals. The video is gorgeous, the song is amazing, I mean... you know the drill. It's Pentatonix so you're going to love it. That's what they do.

I started watching reaction videos due to the pandemic. Had heard of them, but never listened. Then found them 3 years ago through another reaction. As you said: mind-blowing!
I had a similar journey but only found them early last year. I was in hospital last April and ever since I've been listening to them every day. They ease my soul and mind. Love them. ❤
You can go back as much as you want, I never tire of hearing them sing even if it is the same thing over and over :) I had the privilege of being at this concert in the Hollywood Bowl. It was the MOST amazing thing I have ever witnessed. The whole concert was beyond stunning.

I was fortunate enough to be at this concert. It certainly was a bucket list item. Kirstie had her baby almost 3 months to the day prior to this concert. She had her child on June 28. If all goes according to plan I will see them again September 11 at Irvine California. So it goes back on to the bucket list.
Yes, I loved it. I really loved it when I saw them at that exact concert at the Hollywood Bowl! It was truly a spectacular concert. I heartily recommend this video from a concert they performed in Kentucky a few months later during their "Christmas tour". That set of videos from the Hollywood Bowl will silence the non-believers. There they are on stage, doing all of that without backing instruments. Several of their most popular offerings were in the program including Daft Punk, Hallelujah, this song, ... there is no doubt that their videos portray real performances (even though they were obviously involved in some studio work for the videos.)
I'm seeing them in May in the UK - I'm SOOOOOO excited! I love how much you love them. I'm of a generation with you Debbie - I'm 54 in June and I sing with several choirs and have lessons. One of my choirs just did the Pentatonix arrangement of 'Save the world/Don't you worry child' and it was fantastic to know we were singing their arrangement.

Umm, Pentatonix can! And does! Right now the Pentaholics are losing our minds over the fact that Pentatonix is on The Masked Singer as California Roll. Yes, the sushi kind. They did kind of try to change their voices and keep it secret, but ANY true PTX fan knows our babies with they sing. No voice changer can hide it. Well, that and Mitch doing the EXACT same pose he did at the Grammy's, complete with gloves.

You need to do Superfruit (just Mitch and Scott), my fave is Empire Medley and Defying Gravity. Superfruit is a small detour in the rabbit hole that is Pentatonix.
If I may recommend some future PTX songs: Say Something, Shallow, Havanna and „Rather be“. If you want to discover other insane singers, I recommend Morissette Amon: start with her covers of „Never enough“ and „Rise up“. (and you will again ask the question, whether you have been living under a rock and why you have missed out on her!)

I heard it put like this, the Simon & Garfunkle was a warning to mankind. The Disturbed, was an anger because the warning was ignored. The PTX was hopeful, because it seems people are finally listening to the warning. I thought it fits, but haven't decided if it's right or not. If anyone complains about you pausing and rewinding, tell them they are welcome to find a channel that doesn't do those things. I really appreciate you making things public on your Patreon, when blocked here. You are a really great person for doing that. But you really don't have to do that.
