2023 and I am using my used Kx, with lenses from my Ricoh Kr-5 Super! Loving this camera.

@@techtrx Yep I use mine also. While it only does 720p with a prime lens I can get good video out of it. I took the kit lens 18-55 and tried it on my EOS-M with an adapter. Wasn't getting good images out of it. I figured out the little handle that moves the iris open wasn't opening it far enough and there was still more play. So what I did was jammed a piece of toothpick into the little slot behind it when it was open all the way. OMG the lens now looks fantastic. And I have an old 50mm prime f.17 and the kit lens now compares at least in well lit areas.

It's still my only DSLR so far. I use Panasonic eneloop AA rechargeables and a Sony 64 GB SDXC card with it. Instead of the kit lens, I most often use the Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4, along with the Pentax-A 35-105mm F3.5 and the Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 zoom lenses.

I bought the k70 for better low light, but because of higher pixel density the high iso images of the k-x look just as nice :)

Ciao, grazie per le informazioni dettagliate che hai fatto. - Ho acquistato da poco una PENTAX kx usata però ho problemi con le batterie (ho acquistato ENERGIZER ULTIMATE quelle al litio , le VARTA NI-MH da 2600 mAh) ma niente da fare, dopo poche foto si accende la spia gialla poi rossa quindi si spegne - Ti chiedo gentilmente come hai risolto il problema delle batterie? Si dice che bisogna aggiornare il firmware con versione 1.03, mi potresti aiutare? grazie anticipatamente Flavio

I own the Pentax KR model, which, unfortunately, fell from the front seat of my car and btoke the view screen. Great camera. . Hope to have it fixed one of these days.

Hi! Welcome to the world of photography Pentax Kx is dated for sure. But what I would definitely use it for learning to shoot manual modes. Changing aperture, iso, shutter speed. That way when you grt the feel of it, you can then buy a more expensive camera

@@techtrx I bought it from keh.com that sells used equipment. Really enjoy it, I have the 18-55mm and a 55-300mm zoom DA-L lenses. I usually use the shorter lens.
