I agree with you had a senior colleague at work who was doing well but never had an investment. Unfortunately he lost his job and went from living a comfortable life to hardship. There would had been something to fall back on if he had an investment

In America no one is above the law. We are all entitled to a trial and judgement by a jury of our peers. Then we all abide by the result. What Trump has done is not the fault of the Republicans and his conviction is not the fault of the Democrats. Another great thing about our country is each of us can express our opinion by voting in November. Much like the entire nation having a seat on the jury, we don’t get to ignore the outcome just because we don’t agree. These are just 2 things that make our country great not an individual.

He's admitted in public that they were reimbursements. There are documents spelling out explicitly how they did the math for how they were going to reimburse Michael Cohen. But he filed business records stating that it was legal fees. It's actually not that complicated. All you have to do is stop listening to people who profit off of lying to you about it.

Its a real shame. I remember when Giuliani was a top rate prosecutor in the 1990s who was Mayor of New York when the Twin Towers were hit in 2001 and he was admired for the leadership he showed at the time, and wrote a book of the same name. But in the last 10 or so years he has made so many people forget whatever good he did 20 to 30 years ago. A real shame.

Exactly 💯% Justice was not blind. There were at least 2 Republicans' jurors, one even said he reads Truth Social (Trump's site), another Fox News, but the evidence was too much to overlooked. I think "character assassination" is a bit much. While pointing out the obvious which is that the standards for what the prosecution was implying were far greater that anything that was given, they suggested that the entire intent of the judge and prosecutor were political in nature. Given that they've both been outward in their hatred towards Trump prior this should not come as a surprise. In a normal case this would be cause for a change of venue, if not complete dismissal. While you're correct that anyone who is surprised is not paying attention, I think the only reason for that is that this case is clearly political in nature. It's a shame, but it's simply the matter of the fact.
