Drongo, some feedback on your new Caster UI: I think it's more important to see which age the players are in than their rank, especially since 99% of the games you cast are all conq 3 players. I would swap the player age back to the circle next to their name where it is by default and move their rank icon to where the age currently sits. Hope this helps!

the Ayyubids biggest weapon " casino wing " is nerfed, all they got is the short-term early aggression, besides that I don't really see a way in which they can fight against long term civs such as Abbasids etc., unless maybe they get trade going.

I'm very none aggressive and like to build a thriving empire full of resources and a big army before considering attacking. Watching these videos to get better. I love these video's. As an Englishman, The Australian accent is appealing.

I'm surprised he didn't branch out and grab two or three berry orchards before hitting that Age Upgrade (granting each bush +100 at Castle instead of +50 at Feudal.) That was a sad oversight lol, but it didn't seem to bother him for he had a million sheep lmfao

Also can we please remember how strong floating gate and mehmed armoury are before we need the eight vils? Ayubids miss a lot of eco techs that Abbasid have

Newbie question, it seems the guy with a vast advantage in sheep at the beginning always wins. I don´t play the game but been noticing lately that regardless of civ it seems to be a trend. Is this normal? ... it sort of makes the games a bit predictable.

That’s mere coincidence. I play the game A LOT! I can assure you that’s not the case. Many other food sources and other factors come into play each game

I mean in this instance the sheep collection was extremely in favour of ML which forced the English player into extremely early farms destroying any chance of tempo which is important against Ayyubid

It hurts some civs more than others. If you have a civ with a berry gather rate bonus, or a landmark that eases the farm transition like Ottomans or Japanese, the lack of sheep isn't felt so much. Malians cows can handle it fairly easily too. Also depends on whether there is fish on the map

It's pretty funny to me that meditation gardens was seen as completely op and was gutted, while economy: growth is a strictly superior version of it and it's somehow not considered op

It is not 'strictly' superior. I understand what you mean. In a vacuum those 4 vills generate more resources than the new Med Gardens could ever do. However, it is much easier to kill a villager than destroying the landmark. The latter also does not use pop-space and is not an exclusive choice (in the sense that you can still build the other landmark) Additionally, it is always difficult to compare civ boni 1:1. Med garden together with other eco boni (especially song dynasty) was just busted. In comparison, growth as a feudal wing is rarely played. It seems that those 4 villagers are less valued than the tempo you gain with military wing although the gross resource generation is higher. Yes, military wing is often used to leverage growth wing with a FC build, but even in longer feudal plays ML for example likes to go for military wing. That distorts a comparison between growth and Med Gardens further since growth comes much later into player.
