I also think it will eventually become a more sought-after classic. Squares have become so common that it is an acquired taste, but the round square is more unique. It is almost identical to the first DW5400/DW5700 as well. Can someone answer if the DW57xx series has lasted all the way, or did it disappear around 1997 and come back in 2018?

I love the module but not a fan of the round case. I bought several of them and used he modules and cases to build custom square G-Shocks. I have a DW-5035D with that gold module - so sick!
They usually last much longer, but since Casio intoduced El-panels that use more power they had to set down the time they last. It depends most on the use of the light. The old 7 year often last even more than the double and I think you can see this as the same.

Where did you buy yours at for $80? The cheapest price that I can find this screw back model right now is at $129 with the other prices being from $129 to $180 and up. How long ago did you buy yours and which online seller/vendor did you purchase yours at for $80? That's such an excellent price for a screw back G-Shock.
I think the small rectangular display in the big round case looks awkard. The design isn't as good and smooth as the other more popular models you mentionned, in my opinion.
No one ever likes facial hair changes at first. Whether growing or shaving facial hair. I think it just scares people seeing someone close to them change appearance so rapidly.
