The government has the power, but no knowledge of how to solve such issues. So why is it that almost every government in the world is comprised of politicians only and no scientists, when is the last time a serious call to action was wished for by a scientist and backed by the government? There hasn’t been any. If Yellowstone erupted tomorrow, scientists from every country on the planet would be brought in to advise the government on how to act. In terms of ‘global warming’ and ‘climate change’- the campaigns are almost always celebrities virtue signalling and the government trying to get more money out of everyone. I have traveled a lot on German rail. On the long distance trains, the ICE, you must reserve your seat when you book, even in 2nd class let alone the 1st. No way a 1st class ticket did not have a reserved seat.
raedwulf61 you also know then all seats can be reserved for shorter distances and you as traveller with no reservation can jump from seat to seat during your trip or you can choose to sit on the floor if you find a spot or else you have to stand up. Maybe greta entered a full train with no reservation possible and then made her tweet. And later on the germain railway staff maybe see her post or spotted shes on the train and then offered her a seat first coming possibility. I saw her book at Barnes and Noble. I was making my friend laugh when I started talking to Greta’s picture on her book saying “How Dare You Greta. How dare you have a book. How many baby trees were destroyed to make these books?” I heard there was the same reaction when Time Magazine made her person of the year and people were complaining about trees being destroyed to publish the magazine.
