Thousands of residents are building makeshift dams to prepare for another wave of flooding in Central Asia and Russia that could arrive on April 20. With no help from the state, people in a village in the Russian region of Orenburg raised money to build their own 1.5-kilometer dam.

There must be construction equipment in Crimea used for making all those trench networks. Even eastern Ukraine must have a surprising amount of heavy digging equipment due to the war. Priorities???
