The thing that really resonates with me is his his spiritual seeking. I have also read the Bhagavad Vita, the Quran and the Dalai Lama. I even read the works of Eckhart Tolle. I’m a big fan of Buddhist nun Pema Chodron on mindfulness. In the end, my heart ❤️ yearned for Jesus. I liked how he called it Churchianity, instead of Christianity. @@chrispennie5830 I used to live there off Capital of TX Highway (360). It’s a great place. Stars come there all the time and nobody bothers them. Low profile kinda place. No ones better than anyone else and e wet one wants it that way. I’ve gone in so many bars in the Hill Country and seen many people sitting there drinking a beer or playing their guitar & singing a bit. There’s usually a Tip Jar out on the Counter for Willie. A huge Statue in the Park by the walking trail, great view to see the bats come out at sunset. Stevie Ray Vaughn’s statue is right there on that walking trail. Love those people!! They welcome everyone. Everyone L who wasn’t a liberal, used to keep a house in the Hill Country of Texas. It’s beautiful there.

There’s not one single piece of solid evidence that your ‘Jesus’ existed . Jesus wasn’t even a name given in biblical times, the name was Yeshua, or Joshua and it was a very common name. I think once actors get to an age where they know they're grandfathered in, they don't feel the need to virtue signal because they're comfortable with who they are and their place in the world. I reckon most young/current actors would love to put aside all the politics and activism but they just don't have the courage. It would only take three or four really high profile young liberal actors/musicians to come together and say lets stop fighting each other over our politics and ideologies and then the rest would follow suit.

@@SlickDonaldRichard-rk94”grandfathered in” doesn’t mean you are old or look like a grandfather. It means you’re included in a group or an agreement based on your past participation of said group or agreement and can’t be subject to removal due to new standards required for new members. In this instance though, I suspect it’s also because he’s 70, he already created his body of work, isn’t looking for a new project, isn’t seeking a handout and has nothing to be taken from him by those in positions to exploit actors like his peers.

You can tell Dennis Quaid is definitely in a good place in life. You can tell through his answers that he seems genuinely happy. Refreshing for someone from Hollywood to speak the truth which shouldn't be controversial at all.

And criminally overlooked, probably due to bad timing more than anything else, having been released in the shadow of Tombstone. As great as Val Kilmer was in that film I always thought Quaid's take on Doc Holliday was more authentic.

Excellent interview! Dennis Quiad comes across as such a well-rounded, intelligent person. No airs and graces like most actors. My grand-parents knew someone in the US who knew the Reagans well. My Grand-father was Scottish and gave a role of tartan to his friends. Nancy Reagan saw it and liked it so their friends gave it to her and she was so polite and had the manners to write to my Grand-father to thank him and say she had taken the material from their friend to make it into something! Amazing.
