The biggest mistake you can make when investing is to think that you are smarter than the market. It’s almost impossible to time the consistently, you will miss out on great opportunities if you do this, simply DCA into high conviction stocks and let your position grow.

PSLV withdrawal only requires 10,000 ounces of equivalent shares. They will deliver 10 X 1000 ounce bars. They will only deliver to a commercial address, no residential addresses.

I believe Ed is wrong with respect to the short position in SLV. I have not tried this because I do not have a margin account with my broker, but SLV is a security and I am pretty sure you can borrow SLV shares and sell them short just exactly the same way you can borrow and sell short shares of any stock. I believe the short position in SLV has nothing to do with a shortage of silver and everything to do with market participants thinking the price of SLV shares will go down (which it has for about 16 months now). The SLV prospectus language regarding depositing the silver is for Authorized Participants. Any retail investor with a margin account can short shares.

It is a great mystery for me why no one talks about the industrial precious metal market much larger than the retail. The true price is determined there so that the bullion banks do not need to show the actual price mechanism.

Great information Rob, love that Ed guy. How is Basel III playing here, I know the CB's are cramming to meet the ratio rule, Ratio 1:1 (1 Oz physical gold = 1 Oz of paper gold. What effect will Basel IV have on the banks in 2023? They may kick the can down the road on 4.

Basel 3 actually disincentives CBs to hold PMs, on their books, they are actually considered " a non performing" asset. The unwinding of gold leasing agreements, reduces the obscurity of bullions true ownership. Basel 3 criteria, from the BIS, seemingly merely funnels gold flows and control, back into BISs authority. No, free market forces get re-enacted.

To fog over the truth. The USD is losing value at a much higher rate than it appears. The purchasing power destruction in the USD to obscured when the price of gold in USD doesn't fly off the handle like it naturally would without the fake paper market.

Aussie Tesla You can take people to court but there’s this thing called the patriot act. If the government claims whatever is against national security they can do a whole bunch of crap. Just look at England. The nsa sent an email and an agent leaked it. She committed treason! The nsa wanted englands help blackmailing the UN to vote for the iraq war. England went to court and the case was thrown out cause if they prosecuted her they would have to release some documents that would open England uo to war crimes cause it basically said England going to war with nato in the Middle East was an illegal war. Point is you may have a case against or for the government or businesses. But the government does what it wants. Was bush or anyone held accountable for lying to the world about WMD in iraq? No.
